  1. Recently had a holiday back to Tasmania wher i lived for 10 years done a bit of grasshopper flicking in a few rivers around Devonport with good results. A 2lb Brown trout and a very nice 3.2lb brown. Heard about a private dam that the owners let people fish and after several hours driving around found the place and dropped in to ask permission to fish their dam. This dam is 30acres but being as dry as i have seen it over there ther was only 1/5th of the dam with water hard up to the dam wall. After hearing about the 15lb plus browns being pulled out of here i was eager to get going and quickly rigged up and set off. Walking the bank to my shock we started finding dead trout i total we counted around 35 dead none under roughly 5lb in size and of them around that 10 to 15lb size. Had a few flick and had some very lethargic chases but oviously these fish weren't happy. Returing to property owner we informed her of the dead fish and she said they die like that every year juat not as many as this summer. What kills these fish i don't know. Unable to spawn? Lack of oxygen in water or watwr overheating? Any Ideas? Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk
  2. Hi all First post here as im new look foward to being a part of the forum. I live in Batemans bay NSW and have recently been going sand beach worming which has been pretty sucessfull ( been getting at least 5 or 6 around meter length and around 10 all up) my question is when fishing for whiting and using smaller gear is it better using and catching the smaller worms so you can bait up and have it looking all dangely or is a big chunk of big worm going to do the same? Havent had much sucess with catching the fish just the worms lol Sent from my GT-I9300T using Tapatalk
