Hi dude the fish was caught on a 6" gulp sandworm camo colour and on 4lb fireline it was on the run down of the tide hope that helps Thanks Greg it was your phenominal boating skills and guidance that made the difference on landing that huge king i really dont think i would of caught that king without you or Pat ... i think this king was a team effort ... It was almost like you had hooked the fish and reeled it in for me with all that knowledge you passed on to me during the exhausting fight .. haha thanks again

Hi Raiders, Went out this morning with the intentions of chasing salmon or bream on sp's first stop we headed out to north head and found it a lil too quiet for our liking so we headed back in the harbour and decided to hit up some bream on light gear. Within minutes we were onto trevs and more trevs and the odd bream in between on the berkly gulp alive sandworms in camo..... decided to move on to a new spot ... spot XYZ and try get that big bream we wanted. A few casts and still nothing then on my 1-3kg lumis bream outfit and my daiwa sol 2000 BANG!!!!!!!!!!! and ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ what a hit .. i called salmon at first but within seconds i was screaming KING KING quick put the boat in gear and chase .... After a long long long and i mean long tussle and chasing this monster and a few heart wrenching moments when he dove deep i finally landed this unexpected visitor ... Must say the best fight i have ever had on my DAIWA TD Sol 2000 what a lil gem of a reel .... Hi fives all around and the rest of the day was wasted with just flatheads and taylor .... Here is a pic of the King just before i released it ... without a scale my guess was 8kg

Nice catch mate ... Kings on bread is not as un common as most may think ... Kingfish often confuse bread for little white baits particularly if you had been retrieving the bread back to shore or as it may have been sinking to the bottom they often see it as an injured whitebait... on the dvd Local Knowledge Alex Bellisimo and no no no fish for Black fish on bread and they land all sorts of things Bream , Drummer ... So good catch mate i think tackle shops will go broe if you keep that up hahaha

Hi All, Took the Mrs and went out to the North Entrance beach for a beach fish. We left wednesdy night to sleep out on the beach for a bit of relaxation time, get there about 11pm and what do we realise........ we forgot BAIT so we drive off to servo and get a block of pillies, which turn out to be the worst pilchards i have ever used .... So we wait till first light and begin fishing, i send the Mrs off to buy new pillies but no one at the entrance is open IT WAS 5AM so she comes back with breakfast hahah got to love her ... anyways while we wait i hook on to a lil tailor it was legal size so i kept it for bait and then another one... the Mrs once again goes for bait and i move the stuff about 700m up the beach .. damn wat a hike and it doesnt help having a esky that weighs a tone ... My lovely Mrs returns yet again this time with bait ... we put thte lines out again than BANG zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz the first rod goes off and so does my mrs hahaha JOE JOE JOE THE ROD i strike and man what a run zzzzzzzzzzzz and zzzzzzzzzzzz and then up the beach then we see a fin we call out SHARK then we had instant spectators hahha so after a 15min fight which is damn hard on the beach i land a nice size school shark that goes roughly 9kg so a few nice trevally after we start to pack up and my Mrs says to me no no one more cast plzzzzzz ( dont get jealous boys she is mine ) she hadnt caught anything yeat and was eager to before we leave .... so we put out a rod while we pack up and guess what ..... bang ZZZZZZZZZZZ she was on haaha lots of jumping and diving later she lands a beautiful salmon .... so we pack up and leave with a nice feed of fish ,,, P.S didnt bother with pics of the trevs and tailor as they were nothing special

i dont think they respond well to metals at night altough i have seen some caught at the spit at night ... i think the lure reflects of the lights from the bridge,,, i got all mine on freshsquid strips

ahahah i think u should ... i think the tailor are out all over the harbour now anyways .. the water temps seam to be cooling down

Late Tuesday night i had an urge once again to go and put out some squid i had caught on the friday before... I get on the phone to Captain hook and also Kingsrule to see what the weather is like out north .... NEGATIVE lol it was bucketing ... i wasnt going to let this stop me hahahaha I get home pack my gear and grab my lil bro and were off .. get to the spit around 12 quickly set up whilst under the bridge then proceed to put out our lines and leant them against the recently built timber deck..... Didnt have to wait long till the first rod has a peck .. peck.. and BANG i was on, nice fat tailor jumping all over the place... land it after about 2mins.. Qickly take a photo and then im back out ... but stupid me i leave my phone out in the rain so i lost $900 worth of phone but i was able to salvage the memory card so i got one photo out of it .....thats the main thing lol The rest of the night was mayhem... more rain and more tailor all up we ended up with 6 nice fat tailor .. the biggest boin 61cm and 2.2kg unfortunately only one photo due to my stupidity hahaha fun day anyways This is my lil bro in the pic
