Thanks for the help guys, we wont be far from the cinema end of ettalong walkin distance wise, but travelling around anywhere there is pretty quick be it walking or driving. Heading up over weekend, hoping friday or saturday the rain isn't too full on. Will just have to get used to a bit of exploring and experimentation, my son is only 2 but he loves the beaches there so a bit of fishing can only add to it.

Hey all, wondering if any of the locals in the Ettalong/Umina region could help us in regards to some good land based spots at Ettalong or Umina Beach that we could pop down with the kids for a shot. Don't know the area that well but have been up a handful of times, but having spent my life interstate haven't spent heaps of time on the central coast fishing wise. Have seen that Flattys and Sand Whiting seem to be the go in the area, is there any land based spots for squid also? Any hints n tips from some locals would be great. Cheers.
