  1. Agree with Dogbox. No one size fits all, but match the hatch with the bait your using. No point using tuna oil and using worms as bait. desired species, tidal run and the like dictate the ideal type. Cheers,
  2. Well that was a let down. Lines in at 5am. Floats out wide on Pillies and live Yacka. Bread burley in and swishing around our feet, bananna prawns are on. 1 old boot, 1 Leatherjacket. That is all. Hill 60 alright. 60 other spots till' I go back there.
  3. Looks like a nice day for it lads. Let you know how we go, hopefully with a few pic's!! One can only have a go hey. Cheers,
  4. Thanks guys. Yep, it did look dicey, but just got to treat it with respect. A bit like Macquarie Point on the Northern Beaches hey. Looks very fishy though, and even the day we were scoping it out there were kings hoarding schools of Bonito against the rocks. I will let you know how I go. Going to hit it this weekend.
  5. Hi all, I'm a new member to this site, so look forward to contributing and participating as I get into the groove and familiarise myself with all the various parts and posting points. A mate and I went on a south coast sortie last weekend, just to suss out any potential new spots to have a crack at. We are both looking at getting back into rock fishing after a few years off for both us with family and work taking over. Traditionally we fish livies, or if out of luck Pillies and Gars. out from the ledge, and while waiting fish for pigs, bream and the like. We came across a good looking ledge I believe is called Hill 60. It looked nice. Has anyone fished it and / or had any luck? What's the view on it? We also scoped out Windang, which again looked fishy, particularly off the front, but I reckon it could a bit too busy for my liking. Any other recommendations for a hit? Thank you all, and as I say, I look forward to becoming an active member. Cheers,
