  1. Thanks Ozy, I'll give frank a call and ask him him some questions. I went to SF first, but as always something was not working and in this case it was the search function Just looking at the photo you posted, is there some sort of rod that you need to put across your boat so there is no puddle in your cover when it rains???? and i would think they supply this?
  2. Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone has contacts for guys that make boat covers. I'm looking for a quality cover as my boat is stored outside, so im hoping for it to last afew years at least. A Question for any of you with similar covers.... Does you cover strap your actual Hull or to the trailer?? i would prefer the trailer option but im open to opinions. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks Stevo :ohyeh:

    I'm Buying A Poly!

Wak'd Its not hard to plumb the front livewell, the middle floor on the poly lifts out so you get some access to run hoses etc. Once you get it sus it out and you will know if you can do it or not.. polycraft factory can plumb the livewell for you at a cost also but i chose to do everything myself. I use the front left bin as the livewell and the right for pfd's and storage. The rear left tank is use for clothing and the days drinks etc makes a great esky too  I also extended the front deck but you can do that in the open boat much easier. If your putting a minn kota on the front you wont need a seat, anyone can use them and you will find yourself standing all the time anyway. Im pretty sure the battery's go under the drivers and passengers seat, better off speaking to DaveW as he has the side console version. Stevo :grogon:

    I'm Buying A Poly!

G'day Wakd, congrats on your purchase you will be a happy man. I have the blue tiller steer model challenger you might have seen on here. Reguarding the livewell, i plumbed one of the front 90L tanks its plenty big for 10 bream to swim around, ive even kept a salmon in their too see how long it would last, 3hrs later he was still swimming fine. I did not fit a seat at the front as there is no need, they are pretty stable at rest and the seat just gets in the way,, unless you prefer sitting down then thats fine too. I bet your hangin to get it home i know the feeling. :ohyeh: Good Luck. Stevo
  6. G'Day Fellas, Im interested to hear what you guys are using for your impoundment bass sticks (baitcaster) I want to match my daiwa CVZ-253 up with a nice rod for spinnerbait & bigger hardbody work. The rod im using now seems abit to soft in the tip for what i want, it just doesnt feel right for me. thanks Stevo
  7. Cajun, if your charger has trickle charge, then it sounds like it should be an automatic charger??? If it is it will switch off on its own so no damage is done... If it isnt automatic I cant see it stuffing the battery this time, but continous overcharging will shorten the battery life is all. So dont stress to much about it mate  Stevo
  8. most of the high end sounders are adjustable from feet to metres... i bought a new humminbird sounder 515 just for the front end of the boat straight from the US, it cant be changed to metres or Celcius for the water temp. I knew this thats why the price was right The lowrance is used for speed, temp etc which is adjustable both ways, that one was bought here. So just make sure you can change it before you order it. I was contemplating about getting a matrix with GPS but when i thought about it properly i would never use a GPS in the areas and the fishing i do, Pontoons and moored boats dont moove very often I would never go outside in a 4M boat anyway so it pointeless to have one on my boat. 9. Iceman, It''s a rack virgin, haven''t had the heart to take it there yet, but its growing on me :naughty: Stevo
  10. Great news Jethro, i know how excited you must be Looks like a very nice unit, just love those overhung chunky chines, i don''t know why other boat builders dont use them :confusuion: My poly has them and it makes a big difference to stability, cornering and when your punching into the chop... You should be a happy man when its delivered, best of luck with it. So have you planned when your going to visit the racks with the lovely paint job :yikes: :yikes: Stevo
  11. i think the standard 410 challenger open hull sells between $3000-$4000. That''s bare hull. Stevo
  12. thanks swoff. you have to cut holes for the rod tips to poke through, 7ft''s fit in there no problem, but theres room for more, you can get rods in there that will go all the way to the bow in length, i havent got any longer rods than 7ft so ive never tried. I only use the locker when the boats on the trailer, in the water the rods lay ontop when the lids closed so you can grab whichever rod you like whenyou need it. My personal preferance re the tiller, i love them, theres hardly any steering torque there and i have not had a sore arm after driving, if your motor''s trim tab is setup correctly the boat will track straight and there will be hardly any pressure on the tiller are, if that trim tab is out just a little you have alot of pressure on the tiller which make your arm very tired. a console is nice, but i prefer the room to the console. I got mine from Watersports Marine @ Kingspark, very nice blokes, were interested in a little wheeling and dealing, and beat the other sydney based poly dealer(s) in price. Watersports is a Merc dealer, but i wanted the yammy he had no problems with getting me one from independant outboards at the right price, so i like a dealer that goes out of his way to get you something that he normally doesn''t sell  Hope that helps. 14. Front Deck with extension.....
  15. Hey Byron no offence taken mate, i was just having a laugh is all :nana: Your welcome to have a look at the poly, if you can make the next social day on the parra you can see it up close. I don''t mind answering questions mate no probs at all..... There are so many better boats out there, but i wasnt ready to part with 30K for chasing the fish i chase and wasnt willing to risk the alloy route again so i met 1/2 way and went the poly, havent regreted it either :ohyeh: Here''s a few more pics of the layout if you haven''t seen them... they are very easy to work on if your a little handy with power tools etc. Stevo Rod Locker..
  16. Byron byron byronnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn How can you say the poly''s are not pretty i suppose they dont look very attractive when they are bare bones but when you finish fitting them out they look pretty in my eyes Here''s mine if you havent seen it already Stevo
