Cheers mate Down stream

Hey guys headed up Tamworth on the weekend for the day chasing cod and started fishing the peel River behind the sports fields with not much luck so I Started off throwing surface lures hoping to get one off the surface with no luck the changed to spinnerbaits and hardbodies with no luck then headed out of town abit to a mates property and fished the snags hard with spinnerbaits with no luck and I was starting to loose faith and changed to a tn 60 and landed my first cod then I got another on the tn60 then no more but was great to get my first cod. Would you guys have any tips on chasing cod off the surface as I love surface fishing. cheers kingyJohn

Think the first ones a crimson banded wrasse and second is a black spot goat fish

Hey guys been getting a few bass recently but today I landed a fish that I think may be a cross due to its curve in its head but has a longer bass like body but it was also a lot thinner then the ones I’ve been getting I don’t know if it’s just undernourished or some thing what do you guys think

Hey guys was just wondering wether you get cod in Tamworth if not where would be close

Hey guys headed down to the local for a quick fish unsure whether the surface bite would be hot still so first cast out in the middle of river making sure all was good and out of no where a bass came out of no where and smashed my lure ended up with 2 nice bass then I lost my last Zman finesse frog so I chucked on a jackall frog plastic and ended up with 2 on them but after a fish there stuffed then left with no more surface plastics had a quick look at my other plastics and decided to throw a squidgie prawn on my unweighted surface lure hook to see how they swan and in the water they swam almost identical to a prawn so got another 2 fish then called it a day but all caught in roughly an hour session great fun on light line to cheers kingyJohn

Ah well the boat isn’t something you’d take out to far it has a 60 on it if that’s any help but I was more thinking like jew mainly but flathead and bream also might duck out the heads if it’s calm for a snapper

Hey guys went for a fish down at Stockton in the boat over the weekend and jigged some yakka and sent a live down with no luck so we had Mack tuna busting up everywhere so decided to throw some metals about straight away they were smashing my jig caught a couple and notice one had a bite in the side with was probably from a shark so we threw a slab out not long after we had a hammerhead that went roughly a 110 cm the we got a couple smaller bronzies and a couple flathead then we had a school of tailor under the boat we landed a couple going 40 and lost a big one beside the boat which we guess was 60 + then it went quite and I had a whole dead yakka out and all of a sudden the drag started screaming I had no hope at slowing it with a solid run leaving me seeing spool we pulled the anchor and chased him all across Stockton on my 25 pound gear got him beside the boat then he ran which went on forever till he tired getting him to the boat we estimate he went a meter and half but great fun on the gear

Hunter river mate and the only colour I can get is a blue colour and I can only buy them at feddys

Hey guy recently got myself a packet of Zman finesse frogs and the bass have been loving them and most of them being decent fish I’ve been hitting them hard up in structure and under over hanging trees also been smoked by some big which I had no chance against But that’s fishing here’s a couple fish I’ve caugh Cheers kingyjohn
