    Bloody Hell

Hi Mottyman, I know exactly how ya felt. It happened to me too last Xmas, taking family on a new car to the local beach. Some bloody tourists hit the car and ran off, that left me $500 execess fee, plus incoveniency caused over the holiday period. Cheers up, ya not alone.

    Pigs

Last week, there were heaps hanging around Avoca rock platform, towards to Winnie Bay corner. bread and burley would do the trick. I was disgusted though, that some inconsidered fishmen left a long trail of guts, scales, fishing line along. They could not be !@#@! bother to throw these guts back to the system and take away those messy fishing line.
  3. Talk to Allen Glover, he is an active member, also sponsor for this site. I have many great feedbacks on his rod building skills. Hope ya can get a custom made one to suite your needs.
  4. I have Abu Garcia 4600C3, 5600C4 and 7000C4 they all need a bit of maintenance. Pls let me know the contact details if you have it at hand. Many thanks.
  5. Hi, Would you know anyone around Central Coast who does the reels maintenance? I have some good reels which require a regular service, but I am too scared to open them up myself. Thanks
  6. Hi Allan, with all positive feedbacks from the lads, I am very interested to have my second rod built by you. Will drop ya a call soon in early of the year.
  7. There are so many brands that you can consider to use for SP, depending on your budget. I use the Strudwick Sictik 1-3Kg that costs around $149 (if ya quick enough, go down to Gowings - Fishing Dept near Wynyard station, they are having 30% sale XMAS of all rods, I saw mine in there). I also use Daiwa Procaster Z rods, but they are a bit dearer. Generally speaking, you need a rod that has a light action tip that can throw a 5 gram lure with ease, dont get the one that is too whippy though. I find that the spinning one of these, you can throw far with ease, compare to the baitcaster ones. If you have a bit more $ to throw around, go to Baits R Us at the Entrance, have a chat to Chuck, I made a custom made one, using Samurai blank and all Fuji guides, butt...They will make one to your specific needs. I am very happy with mine. PM me, I will see if I can find the address and number for you.
  8. I feel sorry that ya lost the fish A long while a go, I fish with my mate in the Flint & Steel - Hawskeberry river, his rod dived down into the water from the back of the boat, so fast that we were just had time to stare at the butt...Must be something big pulling down...So we decided to fish on... After an hour or so, we wanted to move on somewhere else, pulled up the anchor rob...there was his rod and line tanged with the anchor rob, and a a pike eel 90cm long still hooked up... Talk about sheer luck....
  9. I bought the mag that came with a DVD. Just out of curiousity, I then went and bought a pack of Ultrabite mix, and about 300grs of Hawkesberry river prawns. went out to test both seperately in different rods. The one with Ultrabite did not get a touch on the entire trip. The other one kept me constantly busy during the high tide turned. Overall, I think nothing would beat fresh bait. These chemical stuff is designed to catch fishmen then fish, in my opinion.
