Thanks for that!! was looking at that wharf today, only thing with the rain i'm thinking somewhere close to the headland like Rose bay or Watsons bay might be less dirty? Even middle harbour, but i dont really know any spots in middle harbour that fish well. i only really squid around spit. but never tried any other land based spots in the harbour. Am i in for a good chance at either of these wharves or any other spot in the harbour that wont get too crowded?

Hi Raiders, Looking for some advice around spots for a fish tonight. Seeing that the weather has gone to crap, but still itching for a fish, looking to go somewhere sheltered with half a chance of a decent fishing session. Had either Watsons bay wharf or Rose bay wharf in mind, however am unsure if either or would suffice? Has anybody had any experience at either spot, and which would be the better option for the night? have fresh squid for bait, and also looking to catch more squid whilst the baits are out. Hey fellas, I am just seeking some advice to a decent land based spot for tonight. Was hoping to go for a beach fish but conditions dont look the best for a surf fishing session. This leaves me with multiple options, but dont really know where to begin. I caught some fresh squid last last night, they are currently sitting in the bottom of my fridge waiting to be slapped onto a hook tonight. Curious if anybody has had any look at either dolls pt, kurnell beach (Closest to rock wall and oil rig), Yarra beach, or any other surrounding areas. Not interest in fishing captain cook or tom uglys bridge, far too many people for my liking. Would greatly appreciate some tips or some sports (Feel free to PM me instead), after the silver ghosts tonight and wanting to give myself the best chance to do so! Curious if anybody knows some half decent land based spots in the hacking either, happy to travel a little :) Cheers legends, Fisho

Does anybody know if I can get jews fishing from Jew Fish point reserve in Oatley? looks ok, small park but not too sure if it holds fish. also, spit bridge land based? I got some squid on the marina side land based, was tempted to throw them out but current was roaring. Any spots near spit, or even tips for fishing land based form spit for jews or kings? thanks again guys

Thanks for that Baz. Havn't tried jewfish point but I was looking at that on maps last week. Wanted to give it a go. Thinking yakkas would work best for jew there? or squid preferably?

Hi Guys!! Long time reader, first time poster! :) I have been fishing nearly all my life, and it is something I am quite passionate about and get to do usually two or three times a week. As of late, I have been really cracking down on chasing my first land based Jew. I have been landing on a boat, and its not much of an issue, however land based I am really struggling to find them! What am I doing wrong? I collect bait either the night before, and during my session, usually squid and yakkas. I throw them out live until they die, then fillet/strip bait when dead. I do a lot of fishing in botany bay, and have tried fishing for them at cooks bridge too, but cant seem to find them land based. Got absolutely smoked at cooks bridge in late June, busted 30 pound braid on my twin power after a few good runs. Anyway, I digress! just looking for any sort of tips regarding bait/rigs, but more so around some spot land based. Not asking for any top secret spots (Unless you would like to PM me, can definitely keep a secret!). Looking for spots around harbour, botany bay, some parts of george's (not too far west), and around Pittwater/spit bridge. Definitely appreciate any sort of information that can help me tackle my first jew!! feel free to share knowledge for king/bonito spots during the day too. Nothing too dangerous, but happy to explore options and see where they lead! tight lines fellas thanks a million! SP
