Hey Raiders! After a recent mishap on the worksite, my end of year plans to head up the coast have unfortunately been pushed aside. With my year now done, and plenty of free time now on my hands, I thought what better time to brush up on my fishing knowledge and break the spell of inconsistency I seem to possess. Whilst I don’t have a problem catching flatties, and have caught some decent snappers, kingfish are a fish I’m yet to really master. Caught plenty of rats last summer but barely managed to crack any legal ones. I’m based on the Northern beaches, and fish from a boat. Any information in regards to techniques, locations, conditions would be appreciated, or any links to articles or videos. As I’m not yet sure on whether or not I’ll be able to head offshore, I may have to stick to pittwater or the Hawkesbury til I’ve healed up a bit better. In this case, the elusive Jew fish is another dream catch of mine Im yet to acquire. Apologies if these questions have been asked a million times. I have done my fair share of research, but I have found that some of the best information comes from local fisherman. Happy to have a chat, or even take a fellow raider out to help show me the ropes.
