  1. thank you for the advice , we are not allowed to dig for worms in the cooks , i wonder if any council allows that practice any more with the 'defacing the foreshores' laws these days .
  2. hello everyone, does anyone know if it is legal to dig for worms in the cooks river please ?
  3. years ago a mate owned a Marlin fiberglass boat , very well looked after , never taken offshore , one night we discovered that it has a hairline crack under the hull (could not see it ) if we tried while we were fishing in the bay , we got back to the ramp but it took about 4 minutes before we got all the water out of the bilge theres no way im getting on an old fiberglass boat ever again !, one day i will own a 14 + tinny that i will install kapstan collars to so that i can do do a bit of drifting/bottom bouncing out side when theres a very good day for it , i agree , with what your saying about buying a a package i look constantly , every now and then theres some really good deals out there, eg garaged all the time older well maintained good quinnys 14.5ft windshield front drive canopy old but excellent 25 //30hp motors for about 4 grand , its a waiting game and you need to be very quick and have the money for it , that i do not right now ,
  4. we are not ready to buy a boat yet , from all the information here we decided to wait and save up more for it , thank you for your reply
  5. true what you said , but buying a registered (package ) is quite expensive for us , buying everything separate will be much easier money wise, it can take a long time but you could end up with a better rig at the end for less money , it really depends on what is available out there and what the seller is willing to accept for it , just saying . we are not ready to buy anything yet .
  6. after reading all the comments we decided to wait and add to our budget before we buy something , thank you for your reply
  7. thank you for the tip, i will do what you said ,
  8. we live at Ryde , thank you very much for the offer , if i ever need any assistance it will be for something small, i would not buy something that will need major work done to it , i will let you know ,
  9. true that , but i dont think many of the sellers would want to take the boat out to get it tested and from what ive seen most boats and trailers that are cheap do not have rego etc
  10. nice rig , not ready to get something yet Frank , Also at our age we need something with a windscreen and some sort of a canopy , thank you for the offer.
  11. thank you , yes i do know what you are saying .
  12. we will be going over the hull and checking every inch of it , i will also stay away from resprayed aluminium boats ,
  13. just the boat , although to start with i will have t buy a used trailer in ok condition, and a used motor also.
  14. don't know what they charge for Aluminium repairs but i get a feeling it will be expensive, thank you for your reply .
