  1. Hey fellow fishos, Ive got a Suzuki DF5A, a 5hp 4 stroke outboard, and looking to maybe generate some electricity out of it. Apparantly there was an alternator that was optional, a 12V 5 or 6 amp alternator. Dont have that, but cant really find it online either. Any recommendations to an alternative? I've got a 3m SIB, and I'd like to be able to go night time fishing etc. Currently have a 12V 7ah battery, looking to power a fish finder (probably a garmin striker 4 or 5cv), anchor light? the white 360* light, possibly some basic lighting (ill have torches but maybe?), and a LED underwater light (not sure whether this is worth it or not, but id like to catch squid and yakkas more consistently). Thanks
  2. What bait were you using for the bream and tailor at currambene? Ill be based in the holiday park which has the jetty so hopefully get some fishing done then
  3. What were you using as bait for the whiting?
  4. Ill give plantation point a go for squid. Im going to murray area for snorkeling so will try it then. Youd think Callala would be easy to get to but no… I guess thats a no go. Flathead is just… slimey and looks freaky. Its super easy to fillet though, not wrong. Caught 2 so far, a 45 and 55cm back in Hawkesbury River. but defo keen to get onto some squid at plantation
  5. Yeah, so im going to be based around huskinson, though im planning to go Murrays as ive seen videos and reports of squid in that area. not really a fan of flatties, it was a headache to fillet and not a fan of it. Currently only got small rods but ill try go for whitings at the beach when time comes. I should have some SP’s so ill play with that. Im happy to drive out to callala as well, any yakkas there? been searching through the forums looking for JB reports but havent found too many in terms of squid and yakkas cheers
  6. Hey lads, going to Jervis bay soon for a few days, and looking to get some fishing done. Prefer to get some Aji(yellowtail scads) or some Squids. My rods are very light 2-4kg so will probs stay away from snappers etc. Still new to fishing and havent been to JB in a long time so hoping the community would be able to help me out? Locations, gear, bait, lures etc. Thanks everyone -
