Would appreciate your expertise fellow fishos or anyone who owns/uses both. Looking for a real to pair with my 10-15kg rod and would primarily be using live baits to target kings and Jew fish in and around Sydney. Might throw the occasional dead bait or slug-go from time to time. I have paired both with my rod, the Saltist in the 4000 size feels sensationally light (lighter than the stradic). Once you go up in size though the Saltist gets real heavy. So would like to stick to that 4000 size if possible. But I question whether it’s fit for purpose for live or dead baits at the 4000 size. The stradic on the other hand is a proven workhorse and could push up to the 5000 without adding much weight to the outfit (few negligible grams). Any advice welcome especially anyone who can speak to longevity.
