Thanks guys It went for long runs I thought it was a small shark at first but lots of headshakes and very powerful. The Saragosa has lots of torque so it did very well bringing it in would recommend buying for sure.

Thanks Wazatherfisherman I’ve never caught or eaten one before but I heard it’s rare to catch them from the beach.

Caught my first ever cobia using pilchards from a beach near Cronulla. I’m a Very happy man right now. Unfortunately didn’t take any pics on location but on a tray at home. First time using my newly bought Saragosa 6000 reel this was the first cast result.

Thanks for the kind words guys, hopefully I can land a land based kingfish next which is my goal before the warmer weather ends.

Thanks for the kind words gents and Sorry guys didn’t have a brag mat to measure the fish. I have a measured 105cm pb and this looked close enough hahahaha. I’ll have a brag mat next time for sure.

Hi this is my first post on fishraider thought I’d share my catch yesterday night. Late night session started with catching a few small bar tail flathead throwbacks, kept persisting and caught a keeper 40cm dusky flathead. Nothing for two hours and then wham buckled the rod into the sand a few headshakes and a run or two later landed a beautiful metre flathead. A few rushed photos, a video and fish released to fight another day. Swam off strong Photos don’t do the fish justice
