I have had the folks at Otto’s replace the bottom guide on a heavy jig rod of mine (which was trodden on by a kayaker we rescued out at sea… thanks pal)!, and it was as good as new. Definitely recommend their work!

A 20000 size spin reel holds 500m of 65lb braid, which should be more than enough for LBG. The drags on these reels are very good these days. You can also cast/jig with it, which you cannot do with a Tiagra.
