I’m looking at buying this boat and was wondering if it is ok to remove this metal seat thing that runs across the boat? Looking to remove it and lay down ply with proper seats

Hi everyone It’s my first time every owning a boat and I’m not sure what to get. I’m planning to use it in Botany Bay for fishing and I would also like to sleep on the boat in a swag if that is possible. My budget it $4000-5000 I want something with a bimmy for some sun protection and I would like something with more of a flat bottom and proper seats. If anyone could give me a suggestion on the kind of boat to buy (if you could give some examples). Thanks
