  1. Hi Joe I could not really say how heavy, maybe around 1.5kg or something ? I will post a couple of close up's, if I can of the little CK50. This one in the pic is a sample I have been testing & only has the standed trebles fitted. When they are actually released they will come fitted with the owners. Also there will be 5 colours ( this colour won't be one of them), very similar to that in SX40 range. A smaller CK 40mm is also to be released at the same time as well Andrew, Do you mean this immediate Wed-Sat or actually next week. Not that I fish it, but I think the Glenbawn Classic may be on this long weekend ?, not sure though will have to check. Just wondering thats all. Cheers,Lance.
  2. Hi Lightweight Because of the wind I started straight off using 3/32oz #2 jigheads & still found that it was a bit light then I went up to a 1/8oz #2. Normally if there is no wind I usually fish them on 1/16oz #2. But this also depends on what depth I am fishing & current flow etc Cheers,Lance.
  3. Hi Guys I had to head up the Valley to visit a couple of my clients with work last thursday, so I thought I may as well drag the boat along just incase I had a bit of time for a quick flick. By the time I had finished work it was already around about 3.30pm, so it left me with a couple of hours at least. I launched the boat & started fishing the timber in the main basin with a VT65 and it didn't take to long to get the first hit. I wasn't ready for him & I was stuffing around with the minn kota and he bricked me in a tree . I think I have been spending to much time on the river bass lately & you sort of forget just how violent these steroid pumping Glenbawn brutes smack . Anyways, I actually landed the next couple of fish on the VT65's & by this time the sun was already setting. So I thought since I really couldn't see enough to fish the timber anymore, I will go for a few more last cast's on some weedbeds. Since the little shallow diving EcoGear CK50 crankbait is to be released in a few weeks time I thought I might give the prototype I have been testing out, another run & on about the third cast I landed a nice little bass around 30cm. Then about half a dozen casts later another good fish, I didn't measure him cause it was to dark, so I just put him in the livewell for a couple of pics back at the boat ramp before letting him go. Cheers,Lance.
  4. Here you go mark-fisho1. A pic of the new 5" Short Curls. Sorry if the quality of the pic is not to good Cheers,Lance.
  5. Cheers for the replies guys So now I have another curse , the curse of the GRINNER Cheers,Lance.
  6. Congratulations Joe IMO there's nothing out there more special or as exciting as fishing for them bass. Magnificent fish in absolutely beautiful surrounding's. Cheers,Lance.
  7. A couple of pics of the weird looking fish.
  8. Hi guys Went for a quick flick out on the Lake this afternoon, & even though the weather was absolutely attrocious with the wind blowing a gale and the rain falling I still managed 5 average bream & also a handfull of undersize squire. Most of the bream were taken on Pad Tue's & 2 of them on the new 5" ShortCurl cut down approx 1". I also caught this weird looking little fish that when in the water had bright, almost luminous blue markings on its body, a forked tail & one hell of an ugly head on it. It's the first time I have caught one, just wondering has anybody else ever caught one or knows what its called ?. Anyways Cheers, Lance.
  9. Cheers for all the comments guys Hi Jorg , No I didn't try any Top Water mate. But I'm thinking that I am going to have to book a session with the "Top Water King". Give me a ring & let me know when you are avilable Cheers,Lance
  10. Hi Guys It's been a while since I have had the time to actually do a bit of a post, so I thought I would head up to Lake St Clair with & do a bit of mandatory product testing & hopefully get a couple of pics. During the drive up I was thinking through a couple of attack plans for the day, as you do. And I was actually thinking (or should that be fearing) that the bass would probally still be lurking in the depths in their usual winter pattern. I found a lot of fish on the sounder that were suspended all over the place from top to bottom. When I finally got one slow rolling on a grass minnow in watermelon-pearl I noticed it hit it at only about 3 metres deep. With this in mind, I thought I may as well give the edges a go. So, to cut a long post short, with two of us on board we ended up landing 8 bass & to my surprise 3 yellowbelly that smacked the VT65's so hard they wouldv'e pulled any one of the bass backward, jeez they were really fired up. Sure shows spring is finally on us. All fish including the yella's were taken on VT65's & VT55's Anyways, Cheers, Lance.

  12. Hi guys After spending 3 full on days fishing the Manning, I needed to unwind. So with Monday free due to the long weekend, I thought what better way than to take the Mrs & kids for a few hours on the river to chase a few bass. We did not hit the water until aprox 1pm, and fished for 3 and a half hours until we got chased off the river by the cold rain that started. It was so cold the kids were complaining they couldn't feel their fingers anymore & either could I. Anyways, we ended up catching 5 nice bass for the afternoon. The one that I am holding in the pic with my daughter & neice was taken on a VT65 in gold. Cheers,Lance.
  13. Hi Guys My measure thats fixed to the side of my livewell only go's to 60cm, I did lay him on it however and he seemed to me, to at least beat it by a good 30 cm or so. I caught him on an EcoGear Tank-S in WaterMelon/BlackFleck on a 3/32 #2 Jighead. And leader was Yamatoyo RockFish 6lb. Also, thanks for straightening that pic up Ken. Cheers, Lance.
