  1. Where is a good spot to get cabbage for blackfish around Juno point area?
  2. Has anyone had much to do with the Lowrance Hook2 7X fishfinder. Seems like good value for money.
  3. How far upstream do I have to go for squirt worms at Minnamurra?
  4. In relation to blackfish weed, what is 'streamers' and what does it look like?
  5. A nice quiet little spot called Pelican
  6. Had a quick hour to kill so went to Pelican and scabbed up enough cabbage to have a go at the local blackfish. Caught the last hour of the run out tide. One lost, two landed. Pretty happy. Now for dinner.
  7. Is early September too early to target yellowbelly at Windamere?
  8. Without travelling too far, is there anywhere close to middle harbour to get cabbage weed?
  9. Yeah, Silastic is the go. I've got strip lights in my forby and the boat, both held down with Silastic and both showing no signs of coming away. Just make sure you clean the surface with metho so it has a good clean surface to bond to.
  10. Gulp 4" Chatreusse Minnows 1/4 oz jig heads did the damage for us. But as I said the week before, nothing.
  11. Strange critters these flatties. I fished last thursday with platics and blades from Juno to Jerusalem and everywhere in between trying to escape the wind for one fish. Then fished this Thursday with plastics and blades and nailed 17 of the buggers from 38cm to 42cm between 3 of us at Juno and Porto Bay. I'm guessing maybe water temperature would be the culprit. Any suggestions?
  12. I had a couple of traps set in the mouth of Porto Bay on the Hawkesbury. While fishing behind the oyster leases a few hundred metres away all I could do was watch a scum bag oyster barge stop and lift my traps and roar of up the bay. Too far away to do anything and who knows, the freak could have had any sort of weapon in his barge. Not worth spilling blood over a few dollars worth of traps. Just be aware of those scum bags.
  13. Can anyone tell me what Sandy Point boat ramp at Georges River is like and is there much room for parking with the trailer. Probably give it a go tomorrow or friday if all sounds good otherwise its pay at Alfords Point.

I have a 4M Brooker with windscreen and bow rail. Any advice on bow or transom mount with foot control. I'd prefer a Minn Kota.

    Woy Woy

Good night at Woy Woy Fishing Central :: Fishing scene :: Fishing reports Page 1 of 1 • Share • Actions ! Actions ! View posts since last visit View your posts View unanswered posts Topic being watched -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Went to Woy Woy tuesday night to try our luck and ended up with these beauties. Unfortunately the biggest bream 34cm had something wrong with its belly being full off fluid. No lumps being obvious when cut open but heaps of clear fluid, no smell. If anyone knows of anything similar, take this on board. Not going to eat. The snapper went 34cm and the bream went 34cm. Note the bloating on the bream. Heres some pics. <a href="http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a54/tjgoodwin/?action=view&current=WoyWoy20101.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a54/tjgoodwin/WoyWoy20101.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a54/tjgoodwin/?action=view&current=WoyWoy20102.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a54/tjgoodwin/WoyWoy20102.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a54/tjgoodwin/?action=view&current=WoyWoy20103.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a54/tjgoodwin/WoyWoy20103.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a54/tjgoodwin/?action=view&current=WoyWoy20104.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a54/tjgoodwin/WoyWoy20104.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
  16. Is it possible to target jewies with a downrigger and live bait?
  17. Thanks for the many replys. I'll take them all on board and try all of them as I believe the fish are where you are at the time they are. Cheers & I hope I can post a report soon.
  18. S**T!!! Whats the chances of being run down by a slightly bigger boat? Obviously during the day is risky?
  19. Can anyone tell me where abouts in Botany Bay I can find 'Trevally Alley'.
  20. Devlins lane is always open but its quite a paddle back to the wier.Theres plenty of good fishing around the lane though so you won"t have to paddle to far to find spots. At the wier you can park at the top of the hill & its an easy 50 metre carry down the track to the water with the yak.
  21. I've got a Garmin 72 and it works fine. I have all my marks on it & it gets me close enough. I can drop $5.00 over the school yard and save it & give the 72 to the kids & they'll find it quick smart. They reckon "it don't get much better than that viewers"
  22. I don't care about the ugly head, but where do I get a 'FISHRAIDER' beanie from.
  23. Got a call from my wife on saturday at work saying she was at &&*&*& & there were two rods on the throw out table. They were 1 bream/whiting rod & 1 boat rod after my enquiry, but at a good price. She convinced me to buy them so I said I'll look at them when I get home. Got home & they seemed pretty good so I got all the rods out to match them up with reels & to my surprise I have 18 rods & reels. 10 bream/whiting, 4 boat, 3 beach & 1 blackfish. Do I have a problem or is the the norm?
