im not sure if you fish the rocks, but each outting on the nb rocks we bag bream trevs nigs and blackies.

Most headlands will hold squid. but probably not after this rain. might have to wait a day or 2. look for shelted clear water

Kingies from the usually haunts... you should know where.... Try stick baits or poppers. Sunday PM looks to get a bit rough so be careful on the Rocks.

dude, if your fishing for nigs and blackies, you will be losing alot of line. Just get the semi-cheap stuff. I go thru a quarter of my line on my spool per season and respool the next. I use andre

just keep it. I have a 7144 with a 6.5inch alvery. Great for pigs. just get replacement guides if need be. It's a heavey outfit... so you might have to hit the gym.

When you say you got a Daiwa 5500... are you talking about the emblem pro 5500? If your justing using the combo for generel fishing get Ugly stik about 10-11 foot. Make sure you find something a bit light as the emblem is fairly heavy. I use my emblems with daiwa heartlands... but I dont think you get get heartlands @ 12 foor for under 200.(I could be wrong)

I think different things works on different people. Def NOT eat or drink fizzy drinks. But try Ginger tablets or boil a heap of ginger in hot water the night before for 45 mins. The morning you go out, warm it up and bottle it. Drink on the way to the boat and when in the boat. Old chinese remedies. BTW - spew makes awesome berly for yakkas.

Never return carp back into the waterways...worst then rats and mice!! Plently carp at the top weir and middle in the parramatta. Just above the wharf If you want to look abit north... Norwest business park has a man made pond... I got them to 7kg on beard. Glenwood park in the middle of the nice houses... heaps in there. Chipo lakes has a few.. but I think Chipo is to big... thats very hard to spot and find. IMO dont fish the lake rivers... stick to the smaller ponds.. and fish it after a heavy rain dump where rain water is dipping in the pond... worms and bugs gets washed in Bread is good and chicken fillets to make a longer cast..... try not to use sink... and fish very late arvos.

I noticed you in Curl Curl. plenty around freshie near the pool. go on a calm day no clouds and let it sink right to the bottom before you action your jig.

Mate, def get a rod for this type of fishing. If you have going to use it on a regular basis, get a custom rod made maybe based on a 4144?? Makes great fun when the bonnies and kings come past. IMO you should have a rod for all types of fishing...
