There's every chance of it Blackfish, wouldn't be the first time I've thought of it.
I can believe a Blue Throat may have swum to the harbour, but not the Barramundi that have turned up here also
-
It most certainly is Blackfish
-
It looks like a bullrout to me
-
It's a blue throat wrasse, quite rare this far up the coast
-
Watch a few YouTube videos on how to tell if they are full too, it's pretty easy to do and it can save you from taking a crab that's absolutely useless
-
It's a great app, just be aware of your battery life, it will use quite a bit
-
They sure are, my Father in law got a cracker last week
-
Yep, smoke them or try "canning" them like store bought tuna.
They are very nice like that
-
I'm no expert, but it probably would have been safe to eat.
The lobsters only come into shore to shed their shells, it would normally live out on the deep water reefs off Sydney well away from the dioxins
-
I usually cut it into thin strips, max 5mm thick.
Mix in a bowl with sweet chilli sauce, minced garlic and a dash of soy then flash fry it in a pan which is as hot as you can get it.
Don't cook it too long, max 60 seconds
-
A mate of mine hooked a marlin not far from you today, lost it at the boat, estimated 60kg so it's definitely possible
-
It's a fusilier, common in warm currents
-
Jibbon is more reliable than Shark Island for slimies - N/E corner of the bommie in 25m is a great spot
-
They are Zebra fish, rare but occasionally they show up in Sydney
-
Maybe the last few years, but that Jew has probably lived there for 30 years.
Nothing wrong with the hacking, it's nice and clean, although all rivers will peak in toxins after rain.
Still don't think it's anything to worry about
-
They are quite common in the sides of leatherjackets, although that's the only fish I have seen them burrow into.
I've never worried about them in the past even though they do look a little alien to me
-
I've been chasing the little bronzie's down Cronulla way, everyone I have caught has ran hard for 10 seconds then stopped for a few seconds. Most have then swam towards me after that.
Sounds exactly like a little bitey

You will find that the area is bait free due to the Grey Nurse Sharks. They won't take a lure but they will take a bait, hence the reason of no bait
-
Guys if your having lots of trouble with a seal, make a small incision in the guy cavity, squeeze in a whole tube of wasabi and give him a feed.
Makes the buggers think twice about stealing from your boat
-
There are also a few bass in there, taken on spinner baits mostly
Solid fun in the Hawkes

Good work on the Tailor
That little fish looks to be a Sydney Cardinal Fish
