Hi raiders....well the last 2 weeks for me has been a bonus....went out last week during the week... bottom bounced at browns for some gemmies and nice blue eye....
under the tutelidge of master captain troy ( and his expertise ) managed my first yellowfin at around 40 kgs/ geez they go hard... lost one at the boat and managed... after 2 hours to land one ( first fin 4 me )....I cant believe how hard it fought though!! i thought it would have been bigger since the one i lost was around the same size and only took 15 mins to land!!!
went out yesterday and scored a trag.... 4 kgs... that went hard too....i never caught one.. are they ok to eat???.... i cut it into cutlets!!!

Hi folks,
I was out fishing with a few mates on Tuesday off Moruya heads. Things were pretty quiet until a small pod of whales came up about 50m behind the boat. We watched them dive under the boat and come out the other side. As they did so, I got a great screen shot of the 3 wales on my Furuno sounder. Thought you may be interested.
The fishing was pretty slow but ended up with a feed of flathead and some fantastic memories. Thanks.....
Dave
amazing pics mate!!!

Hi fellow fishos..
Im heading down bawley point way tomorrow for some fishing with my mate in his 5.5 metre boat... I did ( unfortunately ) hear that there were jackets further south around narooma and montague island..( in closer ) ..can anyone down that way confirm they are further north around bawley offshore...
anyone know if there are snapper biting down that way... or whether the flathead drifts are producing...
any gps spots most welcome..
tight lines to all... happy easter!

Hi there, my name is Andy and I have a brother Stuart, both aged in mid to late 50/s. We come from Maroubra and Botany.. Both have had boats in the past and have licences. Our fishing buddy from Bondi has moved on and we are looking for someone with a boat to go fishing manly offshore Sydney. We have been fishing from long reef to St Michaels ( concentrate from 23 to 70 metres mainly ) and have over 30 years experience of all the good spots, especially the flathead drifts. Decent blokes who split all the bills and can be relied upon always....with the trawlers and their netting off the coast in close lately, our experience in the past sees us most times bag out on nice big flatheads. I'm retired and am available also for weekday trips. Also happy to help wash down the boat at the ramp if need be. Happy to meet up for a coffee locally as an icebreaker!
and as always tight lines and be safe out there
