  1. hi all went fishing off long reef for some snapper yesterday and did alright caught 7 snapper up to about 2 kilo's which is no record by far but kept my 5 year old son and myself entertained but caught a dark red with two black stripes fish that resembles a venus task but not sure just wondering what it was sorry about the quality cheers warren
  2. hi slasher good to see your horizons have extended to the wider grounds once you start hooking up out there you wont look back and theres nothing like fighting a fat kingie in 50 metres + here are some marks i have caught some nice kings in the past, in the closer reefs to about 50 metres i normally have a nice live squid or fresh one about 2 metres off the bottom which is very productive the wider ones such as 12 mile i normally jig for them hope this helps. 12 mile 33 55 662 151 28 484 the peak 33 55 00 151 21 150 whale south 33 47 075 151 22 485 north head 33 48 333 151 18 450 northerners 33 49 798 151 19 363 colours 33 50 938 151 17 682 cheers warren
  3. hi ray mate snapper are a winter fish from mid winter to mid spring always get the good stuff just depends on how you fish for them
  4. thanks pelican you say a 12 month delay so far there's a sign saying it is only going to take 2 weeks to finish the up grade last week i put my boat in on the temp ramp on high tide witch was fine but trying to retrieve it on low tide was imposible so anybody with a fibreglass 6 metre or over plan your day to launch and retrieve only on hightide other wise ihad to have the boat half hanging over the back of the trailer just to drive the 4wd in 4wd back up the ramp bloody engineers design a temp ramp not ever manually dry winching a 3 ton + themselves up a 45 degree ramp hope its not going to be 12 months before they have an answer to fixing it
  5. thanks steve rosebay it is roseville is a good ramp but with not enough parking anyway i could imagine what its going to be like now that tunks park is being upgraded
  6. due to the upgrades at tunks park and the temp ramp not really suitable to launch or retrieve on and around low tide could anyone please advise me if collaroy or rosebay ramps are suitable to launch a 6 metre fibreglass boat cheers warren
  7. just wandering if anyone knows if the upgrade has been completed cheers warren
