hit a local L.B spot bout 9pm last night fishing for jews thame street whalf , no jew ,but at about 6am saw 5kg plus kingfish i mean thay were masive ran back to the car to grab me poppers but in a flash they had gone .........theres the report now for a some advice thame street whalf ( any1 cracked a jew in that area there ????or was the last 11 hours a waste of my time.... need help,,, the fishing life force is fading fastmy set up was, squid that was caught that night.. tried for yellow tail but, a no go.squid under a bobby cork and squid on the bottem,what the fark am i doing wrong..........i need a sleep

thanks my reel is brand new the line is braided,understanding the line is easier to untangle when using mono...it just seems as tho the whip action of the rod while im casting sends the weight or lack thier of st8 to the ground and not outward .......hmmm think i might have solved this one myself ??????could it be to much flick ,not enough follow through sound right ???? anyone

hi fish raiders i need your help with my baitcaster,cant seem to get any distance with it on a light jigg head. anything below a 1/5 oz just keeps on falling at my feet with a mutha of a birds nest ......ok i have been reading up on this site and going to the links that people have been putting up here but nothing said about casting weight ....is there a limit on how light you can cast with a baitcaster ....because i would love to smash some bream with it .... my outfit specs rod....1.68m (5'6) action light reel....daiwa megaforce line....3lb thank you very much for helping me

thanks for the info josh but have you heard of any jews being taken in that part of the world ,im on google earth and getting a birds eye view it looks very jewish, also had a mate that caught a snapper round them areas..or is he just pulling my leg

me and a couple boys heading up to coal and candle for two nights anybody fished there,becouse of the time line exploreation maybe out of the question.and allso some landbased spots myself coz i turn into a human berly machine,having said that i know fishos keep there cards close to there chest but just point me in the right direction and what fish to target and i will be foreva greatful.so on that note im going to throw the book at the place from whiting and bream to jews and king fish im a taking all my gear,and have been conditioning myself for the last 5months in the discipline of Sleep deprivation 47 hours str8 fishing so far we going to put in at cottage point so somewhere in that vicinity will be awsome

hi all sorry its a bit late but this report is for the 22/3/2008 brought a new rod eager as to get lines wet so picked up my lil brother who is also a crazy fisho like me, and hit iron cove .weather was not to flash so we started at the bridge.me and my brother have had some disagreement over soft plastics verus bait fishing, me being a plastic man.. anyway nothing on under the bridge so i moved bout 30meters west from the bridge chucked on a HB lure 2nd cast hit this bugga....... proud as........ screaming to my lil brother while winding it in and putting on a show get the f@#king gaf he came over and said "is that all' and i reminded him of how many fish he'd caught so far... so one nill to me.... i moved around more about another 30 meters in to a little bay put on the secret weapon the gulp minnow pumpkin seed..5 casts and 2 birds nestness later..... bang called my brother after landing it....shouted throught the phone at him saying STOP THE BUS ...... seeing envy in his eyes i helped him pack his bait gear away, had a spear light rod and reel in the car for him, and away we went, both on sp. 10 min after setting him up his first cast he was on caught this nice flatty all in all ....had one awsome day, at iron cove caught one more flatty and called it quits.. had to have a feed at mum and dads house for easter. we didn't keep any of the fish put the all back ok latterz tight lines all

iron cove bit late but, if you gana start with soft plastics go get the gulp minnows in pumkin seed ,and fish light.one more tip be mobile take a walk around.im new to breaming but im hooked everyday after work im down there,wana hook up ill give ya a tour of the area pm me .i fish the rozelle hospital to the bridge and back again

hi all im a land based fisho,and after work ,most days down at iron cove taking in the sites and getting the line wet.i end up comin home about 7/8oclock at night.... just want to put a question to the fourm.................. can you lure or soft plastic at night and if so, what lures to get.....your comments will be much appreciated

yeah mate im not a pro at b/casting but i find that the lighter you go the better ,and ive found with braided line it tends to stay on the reel ,instead of sitting up when you birds nest .making it a hell of a lot easer finding the that all important loop to an tangle...anyways heaps of fun but
