  1. mate fifty five to seventy metres.
  2. fished down south of port hacking thursday as the weather forcast looked ok. Got an early start as we wanted to start fishing at six and had a twelve mile run down coast. water looked really good as we were running down, as we noticed blue bottles, plenty of bait and birds. Our last couple of trips the water has been green etc. We wanted to fish he change of tide at seven and as soon as we arrived we were catching reds. we intended to have a drift which would allow us to have a look on sounder for bait etc and then we would drop the anchor and berley, however we just kept hitting fish so we did not get around to dropping the pick. We have been using japanese jigs over the last two years with great success. I think you can see the jigs in one of the photo's attached. They have been very aggressive, belting them on the way down as well on the way up. The jigs also allow you to cover alot og ground in a days fishing so they are worth thinking about. We have caught all reef fish including kingies on them. We had our bag limit by eight thirty which was twenty reds. One of those days that makes it all worthwhile.
  3. Hi their is a ramp at dalmeny for boats upto the 5.5m mark. Also not a bad spot to acquire live bait. It is sheltered by a southern headland. Fish cleaning table etc.Only a five minute run to Potato Point.Snapper caught throughout area as its all reef and gravel.anywhere from 30metres out. I favour the 50m - 70m area. Best of luck.
  4. Hi. the marks are 34 13 850, 151 04 460. You will also see a few charter boats around the general area. It has been fishing well over the last few weeks. We tend to fish a kilometre or two south east of the hump. Big patch of gravel that the reds move around on. Good to anchor up in 55 metres and burley. Be patient. Float them out. Good luck
  5. Hi mate, i have used the Fins Braid for the last twelve months and I am very impressed with it. Cannot fault it in any aspect. We fish for reds, kings etc and fish often so it does get a work out. Good Luck with it.
  6. Thanks for the updates on the south coast lake systems. We were down at christmas for a month and have not seen the estuaries that low in over 40 years. I actually learnt to fish in dalmeny lake in a little rowing boat we had! so the area has many fond memories. Did fish Dalmeny lake and spun a few flat head and very large tailor! Thank you Hodgey
  7. Hi we fished at the fad north of the harbour on wednesday and that fad had dollies on it. They were small however. But promising signs. Good Luck
