  1. Hi, I'm heading up to noosa during the Xmas and new year break. I would like a private guide for a day to take me out chasing pelagics. Can anyone recommend a guide ? Cheers
  2. Fishmaniac, its great to see a Sydney Harbour Master mixing it with the big guns. awesome effort!
  3. Hi Raiders, I am going to head out to the nepean this weekend for a fish. I am sydney harbour regular so this is an new spot for me. I will obviously be chasing Bass. Just wanted to find out where i should be launching my boat and where i should be headed. look forward to your reponses ! cheers
  4. hi all, i am heading down to shellharbour this week and will fish both lake illawara and out off bass point. i have a boat. can anyone recommend spots from bream, flatties and whiting in the lake , and kings, bonnies off bass point ? cheers bully
  5. Hi all, heading dow to Jervis Bay and St Georges Basin this weekend. never fished down there before. i have a 4.75m centre consol and plan to target flatties and whiting one day and pelagics the next. the kings are obviously in the middle of the bay. what techniques work best and where. i was thinking of jigging and using large jerk shads and weighted stick baits. do they school on the surface at all ? any info would help. cheers Bully
  6. extremley quiet day on the harbour yesterday. started at 5am and fished till 5pm. 1 rat caught on a metal slice. no surface action, nothing off the markers. frustrating day.
  7. jewgaffer, i have fished the whole of syd harbour over the last week. 24th dec- fished around the channel markers in the harbour with live bait, yakkas. weather was calm and sunny. no rain. no fish at all, no surface action either. 28th, poured rain between 7am and 9am around bradleys head, couldnt see 100m in front. lure fishing, mainly sluggos and poppers, hit all channel markers and bouys, no hits, no fish, no surface action. strong rain with strong southerly winds. 29th, sunny weather all day, fished middle harbour between bantry bay and spit bridge. targeting flathead on soft plastics, no hits , no fish, murky water. i did see some small tailor schools around spit moorings. no kings. the fishing has been really slow and unusally harder. the weather has defiently affected the schools that have been surfacing and the usual suspects in the upper reaches of the harbour. if anyone has been successful in catching a king in the past couple of days on lure it would be good to know. cheers
  8. hey all, has anyone come across some decent surface action in the harbour (excluding the salmon at nth head). this time last year there were 80cm kings busting up around the bridge. this year i havent seen splash ? is the water temp lower this year ? look forward to your comments cheers frustrated lure fisherman
  9. i had someone steal my saftey lock from the boat ramp at Drummoyne. would have been between 6am and 9am. unsavoury characters
  10. hi all, i just bought a 4.75m centre consol, brooker with a 40HP MERC. i have taken it around the Heads (Sydney) it goes fine. Do you guys think i'l be able to go a bit further out, to chase tuna ? i'd be interested to find out if anyone has a similar sized boat and heads out regularly. cheers Bully
  11. i saw the same thing at drummoyne about three weeks ago. one bloke had two kings both undersized along with a bucket load of undersized bream. i didnt have the nuts to blow his head off.. but i should have
  12. I saw kings working the surface under the Gladesville Bride on saturday mid arvo . was anyone out there fishing them ?
