  1. Hi Dandas

The Little Beach ramp is wide enough for 3 boats at a time, lots of parking. Jigholio is right about low tide though. Will depend on what you are towing it with or do what I do and kick the sand out from the front of the wheels and it is usually OK

You can ring Duffy at Salamander Bait and Tackle to see whats being caught this week or drop in and see him - tackle shop is next to service station at Salamander shops. He always has the info.

Stinker writes the fishing column in the Port Stephens Examiner with the weeks report also.

I would take the boat up any weekend as long as the weather isnt a right off because there is always something around.

    good luck

    Tony

  2. I agree with gooster

it was probably fishin trip with jason kennedy because rob lang from "Yamba sportfishing Adventures" is one of the sponsors of the show

might be worth booking a trip with them for when you first get to yamba then go your own way afterwards

    they probably have a website

    good luck

  3. Thank you Mrs Swordfisherman for arranging the course - it always takes a lot of time to put something like that together.

Bob and Harry are great blokes full of lots of info. They gave up these last 2 saturdays to help us out plus the extra time sorting out the papers etc. I think it is brilliant that they can put themselves out year after year - good on them!!!

It was good getting to meet some fellow raiders over the past 2 saturdays.

enjoy the rest of the weekend

  4. I have associate membership with the local volunteer coastal patrol and log in with them when we go out.

They are a great group of people that work hard and long hours to provide 24hrs cover.

It is a great and essential service.

I have always been annoyed that they have to spend time fundraising to support a service that should be funded by the gov. The report mentions that Qld gov pays for fuel used in rescues but NSW did not -- this is just mad.

It looked like the volunteer coastal patrol (which is the largest of the groups in NSW) would probably agree to change to a single new body, but I hope that regardless of any other changes we need to see a lot more funding from the gov!!

  5. Hi Dan,

    Ive got a 135 opti

runs well, no problems in nearly 4 years

good fuel effeciency, I dont bother filling the tank anymore because it takes too long to use it up despite going outside even in big seas.
