fantastic catch there funnierthanu.
i am surprised the water colour was so good as it normally takes a week for it to get back to normal .

i would drift clolse to brighton for some flatties and then take a turn and head to CC bridge in order to stay out of the wind.
i fished there on the weekend withg some success.

the funny thing is that i have actually been doing that bu without any success. i know it is the small things in which i am getting wrong which is leading to a lack of catches.
im sure it will get better with experience and experimentation.

there was talk a little while ago where it was proposed for the better fisho's to tag along with the not so clued up or experienced guys/girls and show them ropes.
i currently have a boat and venture out mostly into botany bay but ususally come back home without success.
it would be wonderful if it could be arranged for "on site tutorial" to occur where people like me can learn how and where to catch squid and yakkas and then transfer these into catches.
just an idea.....i can understand the difficulties involved but it would be sensataional if somehow it can eventuate.
anyway until then i am learning heaps from all the great reports put up...thanks in advance.

tjhis is the fsh that fishraider "something fishy" had caught in the bay.
he is claiming it to be a winter bream. im sure someone can correct this and tell us what it really is. the weight when measured was 5.8kg at 60cm.

did u catch any kingies?
if so, where?
and how did u catch the yakkas at towra?

mate i was in the bay today
kingies were going bezerk at Molly Pt.
we got done on some big ones...
at one stage we had a double hook up and other boats around had there reels screaming also..we sawa a few guys pull in some monsters.
it was great fun with plenty of baitfish around.....i guess that got them stirred!!!!
cant wait for tomorrow as we are heading out again.

good effort hoges....i fish the bay regurarly and have also found pillies to be the most succesful lately...i usually luv to fish sp wit fairly good success but at the moment the flatties in particular seem to be very interested in the pillie bait.

that is fantastic and really inspiring...i might give grays a go and see what it produces for me...it also looks alike a good spot to take the young fella to and have flick...thanks for the report...
