  1. Hi, I have had alloy and now have a Stinger 580 glass boat, finish is excellent , performance is great, the fitout is great, cost me 35K BMT - I have a Suzuki 70 x 4 stroke which gives 30 knots on flat water. Much quiter that my old Qunnie and I just love going fishing in a boat that works well and gets plenty of complements at the ramp. I looked at Poly, and for the money they are not bad, but come nowhere near a good glass boat for finish and presentation, although they cost less I felt that they were over priced by comparison. Stinger BoatsTake a look at the stinger site. Smithie

    Nice Boat ?

The boat shown above looks very nice , but it is really just a knock off of a Hornet jassed up a bit, One comment above that aluminum lasts longer than glass is just not true, there are loads of old 30 year old Haines Hunters out there and still going fine, you would be hard pressed to find a tinney of any sort that is close to that record. Yes there is a move away from alloy boats to glass for skinney and close inshore fishing. I have a Stinger 580 Stinger Boats This is an ideal "Bay Boat" - I love it anyway !!! Good performance and a really great fit-out. Smithie
  3. I would really like to take a look at your Skeeter - could you please email me direct at grahamsmith@westnet.com.au
  4. Hi, Today I visited the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show and saw the god ole Hornet, the new one from Haines and three of these imported Tracker Boats - I would have liked to take a look at a Skeeter - but none there ! I get the impression that there is a move toward glass boats in general, is that true do you think ? I would like some feedback. Smithie
