Thought i recodnised the foreshore there..have been on a fair few trips to the wobby shoreline in one of the house's.. great place :thumbsup:

Was just wondering what reel size you would recomend on a 6'9' spin stick,3-5kg line class..was thinking of a 2000 or 2500 in the shimano or daiwa, does that sounds about right? Any feedback would be great? :thumbsup: ..Rob..

Got 2 on a 50 grm slug and things got boring and my arms got tired so i floated out a few pillies right under the float.. :thumbsup: Had the perfect setup drop the float allmost at my feet and the swell would bounce of the rocks and take it 30-50m out..

Got my biggest squid so far close to pittwater a month ago and probably the biggest flounder ive ever seen..Flounder was close 40cm Picked those 3 squid up in 5 cast not a bad ratio aye..they kept following our nippers when we brought them in..so i decided to nail a few with the jig and that i did.. :happy:

Haha..good story.. That hurts seeing something being pulled out of one of ya favourite spot like that and you have been giving it a good try for a while by the sounds of things.. Hope to see you with a beuaty soon mate.. :happy:

cheers for the great info guys..greatly appreciated it such a hard decision as there is so much variety but i guess that is a good thing in a way.. lol Im now thinking of getting the capricorn or laguna in 1500 as i have the 1000..haha so who knows what ill be thinking tommorow.. And too add more confusion to the scenario i bought the latest Fishing world yesturday and it shows the new Mitchell reel (Avocet- Gold) but seems a tad cheap to be decent quality ( $69.50 ) aarrr i dunno.. :confusuion:

hey joe im in the hornsby area i hurd that the shop along pennat hills rd is having a sale so i might pop up there on the weekend for a squiz.. Yes bashir you are right about the graphite housing i was a bit weary of that..would the slammer 260 be a bit of an overkill for summer spiecies?.. im trying to go light as possible but still in the penn models but yes quality is my first priority.. Looks like i might be buying another laguna..

Whoa..you are right there joe they arent cheap but i can live with out one but ill will still get the one for the old man..wil do my research on a few places im sure i can better that price..i hope.. cheers for the link mate..

Deciding to buy a couple of reels, one for me and one for the old man which im allways using :happy: :happy: Was wondering what price you have may of seen on the 4400SS model its the smallest of the penn reels..Dad allways wanted a penn reel and hes a lucky man as have i the cash and it will be the first fathers day pressie that he wont be able to drink..he will be very suprised..

ohh mate they are great pics..you could get some even better ones under water.. a tad cold but i guess.. please share more with us if u have got more..
