hi ppls i have been fishing for dewies and have had pretty good success, however i dont have a decent set up and need some help. i just bought a shimano 6500B baitrunner and now looking for a rod to match. i fish in the Hawksbury for the dewies using live bait and plan on using the same rod and reel for snapper outside. if i can get some help on which rod to get i would really appreciate it. my budget is $150. also which line is best?? i heard 20lb mono would be good for the dewies and braid is best for snapper. obviously ill have to get a second spool for the line but that doesnt bother me. thanks

great thanks for that. just a few weeks ago i caught a 42 cm bream of my pops jetty thats keeped me comming back for more but havent had much luck. but now with a boat i can go other places. thanx again

hey peoples ill prob be heading up to lake macquarie this weekend and was wondering if anyone has heard of any activity up there. ill be staying at rathmines most probably, but will have access to a boat if that makes any difference. would really apreciate a point in the rite direction. choco

hey everyone ive tryed useing plastics but havent cought anything as of yet but withought the use of a boat i finde it hard to get to the places ide prefore to fish. i was just wondering what ppls opinions are on plastics, whether the do or dont work, or even if they have given up on useing bate alltogether. regars choco

hi everyone im after a new set up obviously. i already have a Jarvis Walker 2500 with a Shimano Squidgy Bass for my soft plasics, and a Shakespeare Catera overhead 4300 for something a little bigger.im after a rod and eggbeater that is capable of catching a decent fish but at the same time i dont want it to be able to catch a friggen shark or anything. i dont particually wanna sepend big and would buy second hand gear if anyone has seen a decent buy on SWAP AND SELL.i usually fish rivers aswell.some advise wouldnt go astray seeing as though im new to the sport and wanna buy something thats lasts. thnx

i know this sounds like a stupid question to most peopl but is it better to have a mono leader on the end of braid main line??

thanks fellas im located round dural area but am willing to take a fare drive if there is a farely good spot. u will have to excuse me if i sound rude or something im only new to the fishing sport and this web sight. i just wouldnt minde getting some pointers for tomorrow and futur reference
