  1. Hi Raiders, I am all set to go fishing tomorrow but the demands that I do not keep any fish as " we dont want to take any chances!". I would naturally think that fin fish from east of Gladesville bridge should be fairly safe to eat. Does anyone have info about that? Ta
  2. Hi, Clifton garden jetty is good for bream, trevally, tayors. you can even catch live bait to go for flathead and kingy. If low tide go to the rock headland on the right of the bay. good deep water for snapper.

I have a 4.1 M aluminium Ally craft rhino and a 40 HP yamaha enduro. I think it is good match. Most of the time I use 1/2 to 3/4 throttle and would only use full throttle in day light and flat condition. It is good to have the extra power there when you want to and able to use it. So if your boat is around 4 M go for 40 HP. if a bit smaller may be 30 HP Dean
  4. Thanks DJMac, the idea of using food coloring is interesting and worth a try.
  5. Hi Guys/ Gals, I was doing it bit of trolling yesterday out from clifton garden and a whole bunch of large fish showed up on the sounder from 5 metre to 15 metre. I stopped the boat and tossed the lure about but of course nothing happened. I would like to ask if there is a way to try and attack these fish ? maybe with metal jig or just bait. Also how can you keep the boat on top of these fish? thanks Dean
  6. Hi fishing Dudes, I am going to Nelson Bay in 2 weeks and am thinking of a fishing charter. Does anyone know of a good charter operator arond there? Ta Dean
  7. Good Haul mate. What SP did you use? I have fiddled with berkley Grub and squidgy wriggler but has has not caught anything so far. I am still using smelly bait! Dean
  8. Hi Trev. Thanks for the info.
  9. Hi, I know the rule here so I cant list their web site. but if you do a google search for aquabait, will show up.
  10. Hi Ankles, Hi Pedro. I have tried soft plastics a few times but the lack of experience has meant my result so far is 1 small hit probably from a toad . I have just bought an open tinny and when I get it fitted with an electric motor I will give the soft plastics a good go. These aquabait worms are apparently farmed tube worms and look to be of good size. I might have to try it out and report back to the forum.
  11. Hi all Fishraiders. This is the first post here though I have been reading all the interesting reports from here for some months now. As I havent been doing well fishing from Parramatta river, I am looking for a good bait that might lift my chance of getting some fish ( I usually used pilchard and today tried salted mackerel and mullet gut ) . Come across some info about aquabait preserved worm. I wonder if anyone here has used it before and is it any good? Ta
