  1. Sydney Game Fishing club is holding our annual Geoff Wooley Memorial Mako tournament in august this year on the 4th and 5th.... This tournament continues to gain alot of interest and we are focusing on providing the goods and making it bigger and better... tournament prices are still really cheap $65 and there is the $1000 up for grabs for Most Sharks tagged and $1000 for Heaviest shark!!!!!! they are the two main prizes but this year we have some more stuff to add with the latest in Fusion stereo setup equipment (wifi, mobile operated) with speakers and a underwater Aqualuma lights setup on offer too from our good friends down at Sydney Marine Electrical!!! Be sure to check them out at www.sydneymarineelectrical.com.au I will put up a final prize listing next week when i finialise things but all this looking pretty schmick at this stage!!!! have a good look at the rules, but not much has changed in previous years where 15kg tackle only applies, aswell as the circle hooks only!!! still simple so dont worry!!!! SGFC provide a great service and im sure everyone will enjoy the comaraderie on the saturday night, and the talks over the days fishing around the BAR!!!!! PRIZE CATEGORY 1. There is over $60 000 in prizes on offer, weather is looking picture perfect and this is the tournament which history proves to have the best and biggest numbers for Blue Marlin. The Major Prize is the Little Audrey Prize for Champion Boat Tag & Release, which alone is worth a $15 000, 3 day live-a-board Heavy Tackle Charter off the Great Barrier Reef Chasing Giant black Marlin!!! Little Audrey placed 2nd in last years Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament, Last year they caught 5 marlin over the 1000lb Mark, one weighing 1038lbs, 11 over 800lbs and 17 over 500lbs, There tally was 51 fish from 37 days fishing.   3. Casey won champion trailerboat tag and release and Baja was champion trailerboat capture. There was a few more caught on Sunday mike with alot tagged and released but for the ones that were weighed were up to 170 on the sunday, listening to the reports during the week there's still a good number out there.
  4. nice work dale on your fish, just curious was it a definate sighting of a tiger, any size??? i cant work out why all these whingers get on these sites and complain of some one like yourself posting up information that is helping out others, if only he knew what we have killed this winter season. tagging isnt bragging!!
  5. nice video mate, those blue sharks are pretty dosile. we got 8 on saturday kept the heaviest one going 183kg, hopefully they keep on the bite for this weeks tourny out of sydney, they introduced a new trophy for most sharks tagged and released on circle hooks so should be interesting.
  6. it is a club record it actually beat it by 30kg's now glenn has got the 248kg blue and the 288kg in the past 4 years both being club records in different line classes
  7. yeah thats true there was 1 seen smashing the bait in amongst all the birds and whales on the sunday a little black marlin
