i had a mate who had the ability of sniffing out jew on beaches, he reckons that you could smell the jew feeding on the edge of the shore break, the jews were feeding on beach worms.........easier to pick up the scent in shallow water..........cheers and tight lines to the silver streak

thx for all the replies raiders, i decided on the live fibre, it was reasonably priced, light and quite powerful in the butt section, going to mate it with my avon royal and 4kg line..........cheers

What Are All The Fishraiders Getting Up To This Weekend?

just wondering if i was to purchase a estuary luderick rod what would u fellow raiders consider to be the best rod to obtain. i will be fishing around wharves in sydney harbour.....where could i obtain it from.........cheers and many downs

just to add a few more memorable catches; 1. my wife catching a fijian record wahoo, 43kg........ 2. my 20kg gt........again in fiji 3. 17kg jew landbased parra river 4. a session i had flyfishing lake eucumbene where i caught my bag limit of rainbow trout, taking into a account that at that stage i had a handfull of sessions under my belt......... 5. everyday i go fishin i also consider memorable

hi fellow fishoes what species of fish if given half the chance, would u like to catch...........i personally would like to catch a 50cm bass and a 70lb jew............cheers raiders i have caught both those species however not near those proportions.

hi fellow raiders i am just interested to hear whats ur most memorable catch to date, i will start this forum off and would say that i would consider catching a 229kg blue marlin in fiji, whilst on my honeymoon, was my highlight . cheers fellow raiders and tight lines............

if my back was not playing up, the fish of choice i would target would, be jewies in august, its not my favoured month, but what the heck, the colder the better..........tight line raiders.... i luv

thx nath i dont have any problems with technique, over the last 4-5 years i have certainnly caught my fill of jewies mainly throughout the sydney region, landbased only.........however p/hacking is a spot i have not fished, but intend to as i will be moving to yowie bay in the future.any info would be appreciated. cheers
