woah never knew what lengths people would go to catch fish off those rocks
imagine they went home empty handed
nice flatheads, they all look pretty happy

i really don't understand how people can say that the higher skill level needed for either soccer or rugby can't be discerned because they both require different skills..
i don't think i'm dogmatic in saying that soccer easily requires a higher level of skill to play it successfully at the highest level
WATCH THIS VID..

you'll be amazed.

today was one of the best days in terms of weather in a while...
wanted to get out of the classroom and go fishing.. but you know how teachers are.. they dont understand how important fishing is

rugby league used to be good, until all the legends of nrl left, and now all these nobody rookies are playing (look at the doggies' lineup) and there doesn't seem to be much creativity anymore.. the forwards act as a battering ram and only now and then you may see a decent play
and you can't just write off soccer because it isn't as tough of a game as rugby.... obviously you have to be more muscular and built for NRL because that is what the game requires
Yeah I guess it is okay to watch but the bit that rubs me the wrong way is when the guy with the ball gets a little tiny tap on the shin and he carries on like he has been hit with a sledge hammer, thats usually when I go back to watching real footy.. Cheers..even though you might think diving in soccer is sissy, it still is part of the game, just like shirt-pulling
and nobody has really seemed to give a decent reason as to why other codes of sport such as rugby are better than soccer besides 'soccer is for sissys' and 'footy players are tough'

Maybe you’ve just invented a new Olympic sport ……Fishatholon?
rekon if it was in beijing i'd win gold?
YOU MUST CRAWL BEFORE YOU WALK.very true, i also follow some tips my uncle seriously told me:
1) to catch fish, you must think like a fish
2) the bigger the cast, the bigger the fish (not quite sure about this one)
but on another note, thanks for the tips and info, look around for my next post with a picture of a massive smile on my face
cheers,
ALEX!

Went out with a mate to Iron cove on saturday, saw on a site that high tide was 2pm, but when i got there i'm pretty sure it wasn't got there at 12 noon to catch the run-in. On friday i got myself some 6lb crystal fireline and 10lb vanish and was psyched to try out how it would go against a fish
Anyways, we started at le montage on the wharf there.. tried some plastics but had no success, so we started to move around the point flicking plastics. had no success so we kept walking around the point towards the IC bridge... no success still!! walked past other people fishing on the way, and they seemed to have the same story as us.
Well we stayed under IC bridge, and i tried to be a hero and threw out a whole squid on another rod that i brought in hope of catching a nice fish but once again the same story
so me and my mate figured that seeing IC was out of action that we might birchgrove it. we kept walking in a general direction from memory towards the ferry wharf, and thus, the epic joureny began
finally got there around 5pm and were too stuffed to seriously fish, so we tried for things under the wharf with some prawns. NOT EVEN ANY BITES! the toad fish weren't even around
ah well, not sure if i can keep blaming winter but i'm getting frustrated!!! it still won't hinder my efforts on going fishing though, hopefully i'll fluke some day and some big fish will stroll past my bait or lure and take it
Note to self: will fish again this week
FISH COUNT FOR WINTER: 1 (20cm leatherjacket)

i'll post a fishing report

Hey Flatty Hunter.
I was thinking about fishing it landbased from the sand bank across from cooks park.
If you cant find a boat to go with, you are more than welcome to join me. We are both young guns on fishraider, so i think we will get on nicely.
Mike
I'll be fishing land-based as well
might see you there
take it easy
