i've got jewfish secrets it was a pretty good watch. i was in his shop the other day i couldn't see the other dvd there and he was busy talking to some rep so just left it.
thanks for the replies guys i think i'll chase it up this week

thanks mate although looking at the weather we might can the trip for a few weeks wait until the temps rise a bit

hey raiders
not sure if i'm posting in the right spot - if not i'm sorry
has anyone seen the kingfish secrets dvd?
if so, is it worth getting?
i'm looking to expand my collection but haven't heard too much about kingfish secrets. i've already got kingfish sessions how does it compare to that in terms of entertainment and also the tips picked up from it?
cheers

yeah a fish would be nice considering the dry run lately......
but dream catch would have to be 40kg GT on a popper
(if i had to pick one)
-
mate mount it on the wall and watch the jaws drop

thanks for the tips guys.
now i have a starting point, still pretty daunted by the whole thing but now i'll be looking in the right direction to get me going.
once again thanks for your help

yeah i borrowed the old boys boat and having fished there only a handful of times, imagine the caning i got from my mates when i realised i left the sounder at home. but in the end just being out there was magic now that my footy (league) season is over i plan on at least fortnightly trips out so hopefully better luck next time. until then i'll have to hit the nepean after work and bring in some pests (carp)
again good effort in hard conditions mate you obviously put the effort in so enjoy the rewards

yeah agreed mate. spent a solid 8 hours on the hawkesbury yesterday no success but beautiful weather and just being out on the water was fantastic.

Have a look at Car Point on NineMSN as they have quite a comprehensive range of specs for cars.
Interestingly in NSW, the Commodore can only tow a 500kg unbraked trailer but a Falcon (despite similar weight & power) can legally tow 750kg. Others that can legally tow 750kg unbraked are Hi Lux, Rav 4 and Avalon.
the reason for this is that the commodores only have a 3/4 chassis.
thats why when i pinch the old mans boat i tow it with his falcon and not my commodore

hey all,
i've been watching a few dvds recently containing fly fishing on it and would really like to give it a go.
i know nothing about it and it looks really difficult so i'm bit hesitant to say the least.
i would just like a few pointers ie how to get into it, tackle etc, and most importantly where or how to learn.
obviously i know all this will take time i'm not expecting it to happen overnight just need a gentle nudge in the right direction to get me started
thanks

that is the most creative report i've read in a long time. brightened my day after a very unsuccessful fishing trip
-
that has broken my heart mate lol.... spent a good eight hours on the hawkesbury today the closest we got was a flathead that decided he didn't want to get into the boat about a metre from it. well done on todays effort obviously a lot smarter than me

you can fish the weir and on wards no probs cross the weir(just be careful) and follow the trail plenty of fishy spots down there, the water is still way to cold yet for any decent bass fishing give it to mid septenber and they should be heading back up from their spawning run if you wanna fish the nepean at the moment just take some bread and corn with you and target carp and mullet plenty of them still around i was down there the other day and spotted several carp and mullet still jumpn all over the river.
good luck when you head down
shoot me a pm next month we'll go down for a surface sess. if you interested
mick
yeah thanks heaps mate. we usually head down in the arvos after work so if thats good for you we'll tee something up next month or so
-
thanks a lot mate

hey all,
a mate and i have been fishing the nepean the last couple of weeks after work with not much luck. we have been thinking of heading down to the weir but are not too sure on whether or not it is illegal to do so. we have heard different things from different people which has left us confused. any help would be greatly appreciated
