  3. We have been going weekdays lately as it has been busy on weekends. Been getting good numbers on fly and spin in the SW corner. The SE has been copping a flogging lately so we moved sides and were amazed at the quality of the fish we had been catching.most success comes from plastics though.

    Hope it helps.

    Cheers

  4. Rods fine leader you dont need it to be long 2 to 4ft is fine for whiting bream and flatties.

But use mono fluoro leader will sink the popper especially at that 35mm size. The other thing is tie a loop knot to the lure. And if it has a ring contected to the lure remove it.

    Cheers

  5. Durras is full of flathead at the moment.

I was there on the weekend throwing surface lures around in ankle deep water for whiting scored a few with the better half catching a nice bream in ankle deep water. Didnt take any plastics with me as flathead are so easy to catch down there. You could catch them on a sinker with a slice of onion bag tied to it.They are that easy. Trust me it works. :biggrin2: If your staying at North D start around the boat ramp. But get there early as it was standing room only last weekend.

The beach front had some good gutters out the front of Lakesea caravan park dont know about North D as i didnt cross the entrance.

    Good luck

  6. If just some of the pleasure boaters out there knew the rules of the road there wouldn't be such a need for the ferry masters to use their whistle as often as they do would there?

Theres the problem right there. Rules of the road ?????? We are talking about on the water. Since when do you drive on the left hand side heading downstream. ????????

All good, What i find funny is that Greg and i have now found a new spot to fish as we did move abit to take photos and the current was ripping. So to all that sent Greg nasty PMs about where the photos were taken. Thanks for the new jewie spots LOL

Honestly though no one and i mean no one owns the water or spots. Thats why the bream scene has gone down hill too many egos.

  8. Fair call Greg. I wasn't having a go, you have been very generous in providing information on how and where to get jewies on lures. It sounds like the jews will be safer if the lure is kept under wraps.

    Cheers

Not really Humesy Browny still couldnt get one LOL :yahoo:

But i think its all technic. And by all means it would not be something new.Its just Greg and myself seen the lures and were shown how to use them for other species and thought maybe they would work for the local jew population. Then went out numerous times to suss them out.And are now catching Jew everytime we go out except for two half ass occasions.

To tell you the truth i am loving my fishing atm because i havent asked anyone for help we have both sussed them out. And to me that is fishing. Not continously sending Private messages and asking what lure , where at. and so on.

Its the way or the world these days i suppose.

    Cheers

    Rich :biggrin2:
