Hi mate, was in jyndabyne for a long weekend last weekend. eucumbene despite how big it is is under 30% capacity. might be best at jyndabyne. casting off the banks as the fish seemed to be close in. we caught a few trolling to same as most fishing techniques dark conditions dark lures - bright day bright lures. our best perfoming lure was a little 13g tassie devil with silver striped top and yellow belly. and 20g black tassies with yellow wings. spoke to a local fly fisherman too said that if the barometer drops so do the fish and they are less likely to feed. they also hang in the leigh of the bay or island if its windy. they were thick on our fishfinder but not interested. but when it rains the fish line up at the river mouths waiting for it to flow so they can get up stream to reproduce. good luck. renni

Anyone got information they are willing to share on prefferred lures and or techniques for fishing windamere dam (mudgee), i am attending an annual city v country fishing trip next weekend and the country boys aren't letting up any secrets. target species is golden perch, silver perch, murray cod and the odd trout. i have got a couple of hundred $$$ to spend at the local tackle store. thanks to ruddy's stimulus.

Sounds like a good day on the water. i will be in + 1. is there something i can bring? not sure when the shopping list was updated last. i don't want to double up on something and miss out on another if you know what i mean. happy to bring some items though.
