  1. Thanks for reply Roberta. Safety always comes first on rock fishing so, I am not planning on night rock fishing. I might try on different locations this long weekend so, wish me post better fishig report David
  2. As I have read lots of good fishing reports in Forster, I was very excited!!! but.... It was an epic fail. I went to Forster last weekend and searched lots of rock fishing spot and I have been to a couple of places but, during 3 fishing sessions, I only caught 1 bream and 2 drummers..... Does anyone know any good rock fishing spot? It seems like Forster rock platform is sharper than Sydney area so, it's a bit hard to find a good spot! Have a good weekend guys!
  3. hi raiders, I headed to little head last Friday (sorry, its late post!) and a friend of mine (Jason) and I had a lot of fun! well, this time we tried to make our secret weapon to get some attract fish on Friday. it was very quiet but wind was really really strong so, we could not hold fishing rods straight down to water! after few hours, we didnt have any bites but suddenly I caught fish..... but fish hide between rocks! sad... had to cut off my line! my friend also caught few fish but his light rod could not control fish to land! its too sad that we could not control fish to land on the rock!!! finally, I landed two bass gropers and Jason landed a weired looking fish but we had no idea how fish is called.... does anyone know this fish? and... is it eatable? regards, daehee
  4. I can tell how dangerous rocking fishing is... I totally agree with 'dododog' that I need to check sea and wave conditions before starting fishing on the rock. I just decide my self that I will not go rocking fishing if wave is over 2m, strong wind exists and etc... a life jacket is an essential but, at least a rock boot is really important to take... just 'BE SAFE'
  5. hi sydneyfishoaddict. little head locates on north of whale beach cheers, daehee
  6. That was a nice catch. What bait did you use mate? Cheers, Andy hi Andy, I only used very poor quality prawns but other fishers berley up around where I were fishing so, I just had bit of luck! I think bread will be good thing to berley before you start fishing cheers, daehee
  7. Hi raiders, went to the little head today. I checked wave height, wave period and wind.... it is a windy day but I wave was not high so, decided to go to the little head this monrning. firstly, I were fishing with running rig to catch any fish on the bottom of reef.... had no luck at all! it was a bit lucky that I met a rocking fishing experts and he suggested me to do float fishing. actually I caught my first drummer last sunday by float fishing at Redhead. ok... I trusted him and changed my rig and casted about 10 metres. snap! I caught something! soon as landed, I found that I caught my second drummer! have not measured but I think it is about 32cm! I was wondering if there is any luck today more but, that's it... I caught a few little blue eye cod after but too small to bring it home! next time, I will start with float fishing to see if there is my luck. regards, daehee ps) does any one win this year Melbourne Cup? if you won, congratuation!
  8. I usually catch baby breams, snappers and silver travellies... hopefully, I can catch table size fish like you nathan at narrabeen! well done! cheers, daehee
  9. I have never seen any whiting like that big!!! congratuation!
  10. unpredictable wave condition is one of the things that I did not want to go fishing on rock flatform... as I start to want to catch bigger fish, I think it could be a good idea to try rock fishing. I will take all you guys advices and if I have any luck next time, I will show you my result! thanks for giving me very very good advices! regards, daehee
  11. Hi raiders! I have been a member for a while but my poor writing skill does not make me to post any report... I usually go estuary fishing with mates and we sometime success to catch beautiful breams and flatties! However, we wanted to catch some bigger fish so, we went to whale beach few times but we have not caught any! (also, we have difficulties to find a good fishing point) Since I have read a lot of reports, I can see that avoca rock platform is a good place to catch some nice salmon or bream! We will probably go next week but, we have no idea which place could be the best area to success our fishing trip... Are their any avoca experts to help us? Is it good enough to use my 7ft graphite rod or better idea to get a surf cast rod? thanks,
