not sure how to post up the link but will try http://primus.lowran...e=5000#Goto1725 Try thisHey guys, about a year ago we bought a Lowrance VHF LVR 250 marine radio, we never got around to installing it on our little boat, but now we have upgraded and we are going to install it, flush mount, ofcourse. We have got the manual for it, but we can't seem to find the template ? If anyone has it laying around and they can scan it and post it up, it'd be highly appreciated Thanks -
Good on ya Gary, how the boat going??

Great stuff Sammy, congratulations mate !!!

Thanks for the advice.
I opened it up and there was no obvious signs of corosion or a loose connection, the TX light comes on when trying to transmit.
Ill take it to a dealer and get it checked over.
Cheers Brett

Well done Brett! Did you catch the Blue Fin Tuna where the pic was taken?
Cheers

By the way Brett did you get those metal half moon side deck lights from where you originally bought the boat. They are easy on your eyes and I want to get hold of a few..... they had the same lights but only in black plastic when I rang ....Are yours chrome plated or stainless mate, I've forgotten. Are they all still working ok, no corosion etc ? What do you think of them mate compared to the same light in plastic.
Byron the lights i have are Perko and they are plastic. Ive had no problems with them but my boat is covered when not in use, so not sure they would handle alot of sunlight..

Had a problem with my Vhf radio today.
Recption was fine, could hear boats and coastal patrol.
I tried nummerous times to contact coastal patrol and coast guard to no avail.
It appears that the radio is receiving, but not transmitting.
Just wondering if others have had the same or a similar problem that they were able to fix to point me in the right direction of what to possibly to look for when i open the hand set and body.

Gday all,
Went out for an early morning fish to find some dollies today.
Went out to the Wide Fad to find nothing, no Fad, we trolled around for an hour catching a few stripies and a keeper dollie trying to locate it, its either gone or well under water? Water temp was 24.8
Came back in to the close Fad where there were plenty of undersize dollies eagerly taking baits and lures, water temp was 22.3
But as a consolation prize we got this Nth Bluefin tuna (i think)a first for the boat before the day ended.

Hi Lennon,
Not sure which comp you are reffering too, however the Jervis Bay GFC Annual Whitsands Tournie is not until the end of Noveber (last weekend). I sthat what you are reffering too?
Good news from the boys is that several YFT to 100KG!!! were caught over the weekend. My good mate Kurt fishing aboard his boat Reel Ezy caught a YFT that weighed 74kg after being chopped in half from a Mako at the boat!
Ant,
Are there any pics floating around, sounds like an awesome fish and would love to see it.

Hi All,
Was thinking of going for an early fish on Friday morning.
Plan was to troll around for some kings, salmon, have a bottom bash out the front and maybe a sess on anchor in the bay.
Would be looking at an early start 5-5.30.
I have the gear (can bring your own) but if you can park a car with a trailer behind, even better
Have a couple of spots available, send me a PM if your interested
Cheers Brett

Gday Byron,
Ive got plenty of mid week days off and a few days on selected weekends, would be great to catch up again and see if we can score a few this time.

The 2 LBG rods i have are 7-8 foot.
Extra length gives you clearance from the rocks.
Im actually looking to sell my rods, so if your interested in a 2nd hand rod send me a pm (I dont use them now i have a boat)
1 rod is a Steve Starling special (I think or maybe an Ian Miller), the other is a custom. The shimano has a roller tip and the custom has a silicon tip. Both are a few years old and have the usual scars from the rocks.
Send me a PM if you are interested and would like some pics, going cheap.

I have discovered that my ariel has come loose from the base. I can now take the whole pole out of the base with enough slack cable.
Just wondering what i should use to fix it into the base again, sicaflex, araldite??

Boat floor replacement
in Boating
Posted
Hi All,
Can anyone assist and point me in the right direction to get my boat floor replaced.
It currently has a ply flooring which has rotted in sections, so I would like to see what options are available, Ply and metal and price.
Cheers, Brett
