Im goin to Clifton Gardens Wharf tonight and i was just wondering if i would be able the catch Yellow-Tail at Clifton Gardens Wharf? and what fish are usually targeted there?

you'll be able to catch yellowtails and bream at night and some people say theres salmon around. Also I see people catching massive sting rays there

A helpful member suggested this place to me and I was wondering if anyone fished here lately?

After so many overnight failures at clifton gardens, I was thinking of giving this spot a go. I'm planning to go overnight here with two other mates and we are all beginner fishos so could someone suggest us what bait we shud use and how we shud fish here. I was told that we shud catch squid and use it as live bait but I dont think we'l get lucky with that cause we never actually tried catching squid before with the jigs. Thanks

i am also curious, i remember when i caught a live squid i hooked it by its head and when i was casting it the squid flew away.

When using live squid as live bait are you meant to be cutting it into strips then putting onto hook? i am abit confused cause that wouldnt be a "live" bait.

went down to blues point for around 4hours last week and only caught small snappers nothing legal, sigh.

Went down to clifton with friends for the 4th time catching nothing legal, though we see people catching kingfish everytime. Regardless the place is just too crowded. Does anyone know any other quiter places(landbased) to go preferably near clifton gardens? We are going in 4's on the 27th hoping to catch something decent. My friends are new to fishing and I dont want them getting bored everytime we go out
