  1. I have done the maths, it means next time you are heading out, you are due for a fish.
  2. Put 2 traps out myself in 6m of water for about 3 hours while fishing yesterday. Put some Baker in it I caught the day before. Zero crabs for me. Wrong bait or not enough time or wrong location?
  3. At the moment it's just work work work! Will keep that up the whole of next month but after that bring on some tuna! What happened to the boat?
  4. How's your 'mini lure chain' design coming along?
  5. Same here, too much work, not enough time to go fishing!
  6. I will take two of the new chains as soon as they are ready please!
  7. Mail if you could Peter. I txt you my adress already. Thanks Rick
  8. Well done Pete! Can't wait for the dollies to arrive in numbers. Still after a couple of your lure chains when you get some time. Thanks Rick
  9. Time to go for another drive on the ocean. Good luck, let us know how you go. (Got too much work to do at the moment)
  10. Left 4am Saturday morning headed for Browns. The wind forecast didn't look all that good but we thought we give it a shot. Got to Browns relatively fast with the wind behind us. Did a few drops and lost a big one on the way up. When I heard the comp boats out there call in some makos I thought I feed a line out on the surface and sure enough I was on after about 5 minutes. Only lasted for about 30 seconds though as the trace got smashed and what came back was all roughed up and bitten through. Saw the seal out there as well and heaps of dolphins doing aerobatics. Trolled all the back to the heads as the wind chop wouldn't allow going any faster. About 6 miles off the heads the wind must have picked up to 30nm which made for some interesting travelling. (We basically got thrown around big time). Only lasted for about 45min and then the wind seem to have dropped again. No fish on board after all that but I guess that's fishing. Rick
  11. Good luck. Wind forecast might change yet again for the better. Let us know how you go out there.
  12. Well done mate! Takes a brave man jumping in out there, no sharks around this time I suppose? I'll have two of those lure chains when you get around to it please.
  13. Left for Browns early this morning. Started trolling 5nm before Browns but nothing hit the lures. When we got to Browns we dropped a rig down. Took two attempts and we had a double hook up on a couple of decent size gemmies. The next couple of drops we lost some gear to the toothy critters and managed to pull up a gemmie head only with the rest of the fish in some sharks belly deep below. To finish the session off we then bagged with some monster gemmies. The biggest weighed in at 13kg. Started trolling lures again after that South of Browns for zeros. Heard other boats call in some Albies.
