  1. Hi Kell,

Went fishing in Boatany bay on the weekend and had rods out with squid and live yakkas targeting Kingfish and a couple of rods out for Bream/flathead. Kingfish (rats) were taking prawns on a No. 6 long shank hook on the bream rods and totaly ignoring the heavier gear with the live bait. Lots of fun though on light gear.

Had some success though with the bigger rods once the rats disapeared. One 76cm model.

Light gear seems the way to go. :1fishing1:

    Cheers,

    Gabe

  2. Excellent day all round Gabe well done! It is great to see the smile on your childs face when they catch fish, priceless.

Where did you launch from? I am thinking of heading out tomorrow to chase Bream and Flatty's on nippers, soft plastics and lures.

Look forward to seeing the pics

    Regards,

    Rob

    Hi Rob,

    Launched from Kyemah.

Try around Silver beach or Towra on the Kurnell side of the Bay. Should do OK.

    Good Luck,

    Gabe

  3. Hi Raiders,

Hit Botany at 6.00am this morning along with 200 other fisho's :depression: with my Son to try and get him his first Kingie.

Anchored at the third runway and started a burley trail and within minutes both rods were buckled under the boat. Only rats but this continued for a while. All up caught and released about eight Kings much to my Sons delight. At the turn of the tide my Son's rod buckles over and his on his first keeper Kingie. (76cm's) Hi fives :1prop::yahoo: all round.

Headed back to the ramp only to find Cars, trailers, jetskis you name it all waiting to get in or out :1badmood: Never seen it so busy. Nice day to be out though.

Sorry Guys only new at this. Took photos with my phone. Try to post pictures soon. :1fishing1:

    Regards,

    Gabe.
