hello people, i recently got my hands on a nice live fibre (10' 6-10kg spin) , purchased from a bloke at a market for $17.50 . i only had it for 2 days and my old man closed the car window on it and crushed the blank .... any way the rod is now broken and i was wondering if there would be any way of salvaging it (its broken about a foot down from the tip) a bloke at a local tackle shop was telling me that i could have it cut down and buy a new section ( i suppose what he ment was to cut it in the middle and turn it into a 2 piece rod) ... i dont know if it could be done and if it could where would i get a 2nd section of rod??? if anyone has heard of this ever being done info would be appreciated . its a shame to see such a nice rod go in the bin

im not sure how long this fish was or how much it weighed because we had no scales or anything to measure it with on the boat... it was pretty big though, the only other one i have caught this big was in a crab pot wich the fish had wedged itself into this fella was caught floating whole pillies designed for big tailor, he doesnt look to big in the flicks but he was a horse of a bream , i recon nearly 2 kgs . . i dunno if its true but some old bloke was tellin me that big bream like this could be up to 40-50 years old?????? anyway he went back in the drink (i would feel kinda bad killing a fish of this age)

caught on light spin gear (4lb fireine) and one of those nice big white squidgy slick rigs pretty stoked went 5.2kgs and 99cms....and she went back to swim another day much smaller fish but a nice flick anyway

i found a Snyder Glas MT144 8W in storage a while back its a bit heavy and there would be no way to comfortably hold one all day off the rocks for example, so so far it has been used just as a set rod with live baits.... its still in good nick and i have been using it with an alvey 650c which i also found just wondering if it still has its place and if any one else uses them as opposed to lighter graphite rods ???? cheers .............

i initially swapped a while back when i found it annoying to keep swapping hands while casting lures constantly... all day . i only use right handed for all my bait casters and overheads which i cant swap the handles .

a mate showed me a great rock ledge a while back and we used yakkas under a baloon launched about 10 metres off the ledge . he used to clean up doing this , we also used gars

gday, just wondering if anyone can help me decide on a wilson rod for live baiting jews from the beach and spinning kings and salmon off the rocks... i have recently got my hands on a wilson FSU4120 overhead from a market for 17 dollars which i was thinking of using with my old speedmaster (also got a live fibre 10' for the same price ,had it for 2 days and my old man closed the car window on the tip and crushed the blank not to happy) to make a long story short i was after some advice on a nice spinning rod i can use with my baitrunner 4500 . i went to tackle world today to hunt for one and found a nice FSU5120 im thinking about purchasing ... any advice on a suitable rod would be apreciated because im no expert on the subject of beach fishing ...............Cheers
