For the vast majority of my fishing life, I never really paid any attention to detail like the size of my hook and sinker, bait, the environment etc. I would just put a prawn on the hook and chuck it in, and take what-ever come my way. Which meant I caught next to nothing.
I really think you need to read as much as you can on the art of fishing, and go fishing with somebody who knows what they are doing. Have a think about what you want to do, and what’s the best way to achieve it.
I’m now getting too old to play footy or go to the gym, so fishing is the go. I’m pushing myself to learn more about the art of fishing, and with some small success.
Good luck.
