  6. Hi guys im going to bondi tomorrow by public transport and driving back in one of my mates cars which ill be looking after while his going overseas for a long period of time, anyway ive never driven as far as gordon so i have no clue how the tolling systems work after hearing cashless and etc is there a way for me to get from bondi to berowra avoiding a toll road or using the traditional coin booths would be good, sorry if it sounds dumb but i have no clue whats going on in that part of the city and my dads ended up paying more than he should of through the cashless toll things several times his been.

  9. wow $10 awesome, yea sounds good, sadly might not be soon as my work load is slowly startin to pile up, im getting a beach rod soon for $30 brand new and ive already got a good reel which i received for christmas so thatll be good,
  10. how much mate??? yeh im only 18 and doing a full time course at TAFE and also have a limited time frame but having a license makes it so much easier for me, ive heard good things bout north narra beach but lately theres been stuff about crabs eating bait etc so yeh ive never been beach fishing apart from last friday night where i stayed for about 20mins max cos i wasnt prepared for the dark and had no clue wat i was doing but as i said im gonna dedicate any time i have for it
  11. yea my hook ups have been a 45cm tailor and a 38cm whiting, and 35cm bream then rest pretty standard, me and my mate were fishing on the little bridge at apple and saw this layer of brown stuff slowly drifting towards us then we smelt it and pulled our lines in and bailed, it wasnt just a patch it was like from one end to the other , i really want to put some effort into beach fishing and get into that soon
  12. yea ive had no luck with poddies yet but will keep trying, also similar story two kids were fishing near me and they decided to see who could cast further, i saw one of them quickly tie 2 bigger sinkers on and watched as they were about to cast, first kid got it between two boats fair distance then the multiple big sinker kid threw his out and it flew over one of the boats when he tried to reel back in it got caught on one of the posts on the boat, next 5mins i couldnt stop laughing as his mum gave him verbal abuse to last a lifetime PS: wats the best fish youve hooked there landbased? bobbo or apple
  13. nice work mate thats a great first session out on a boat, ive had a couple of mates who recently experienced their first boat trip - they were going out at 10am and both my mates didnt end up sleeping the night b4 cos of the excitement, when they came back the news was they caught nothing and one of them dropped their mobile into the water but luckily it had one of those rubber skins and didnt get damaged, anyway top job
  14. u replied just before i posted, hmm my main success at apple tree bay is whiting and tailor never got anything else of size there
  15. im lost as well are u saying the man said theres jews near the sand flats or the bay i was talking about???? cos ive heard of a few jew takin at the bay down the track and 1 been taken near the bobbin head wharf
  16. were u fishing of the apple tree wharf? or further down near the sand flats, also you walked up the berowra track yet to a bay?
  17. yeh i was referring to bobbin head wharf bb4life, and rhino2099 i was hoping if there was any raiders there they would of forgotten about us, in my mind i was picturing it so differently when we got there we didnt realise it was gonna be as dark as it was we only had the one smallish torch, i said to my mate were stuffed and said ill go get my shimano 8 footer and throw out a frozen pilchard and see if its worth hangin around , reeled it to see it had been mauled but i didnt really feel anything pull decided to have one more pilchard out and same result we decided we would head back to bobbo where there was quite a few ppl fishing in the dark only got a couple of smallies but yeh first beach experience might have to be forgotten
  18. im not going to say how it went last night but all i can say is maybe i should go during the day time first before i go at night
  19. sounds like there could be a few ppl turning up there tonight, hopefully will meet up with some guys, anyone know where the best place to park would be, also if i need anything extra for beach fishing as this is a 1st, i got the pyramid type sinkers, rod holder, general purpose rods only at the moment and then all my other standard gear
  20. hey if you didnt see the post before im gonna be out on narra beach giving it a try might see u there, dunno bout livies as well but im just going to do what sounds right(not sure if thats a good thing or not)
  21. hahaha you are a "LEGEND" just what i wanted to hear, i was thinking of getting livies down at bobbin head as i am passing there and it literally takes me 5mins to usually get about 8-10mullet and 4-5 yakkas from the wharf, also i have an air-ator thingy, easier to do it narra??? cos ive never tried for livies there dont really want to waste much time as i said this might be the only time i get to fish from now on(every second friday )
  22. Gonna head down to narra beach from around 6pm-12am tommorow arvo, might hit the lake as well depending on what time we get there with traffic and all, got no idea about what the tides are etc as this is the only time i can head out im going anyway, any tips etc/ or people going there as well 2moro. Have fished the lake several times but havent hit the beach, also only going to be using bait(pilchards, yakkas, mullet, prawns) and maybe some metal lures if i think they are gonna have a chance not into soft plastics that much yet
  23. Nice work on the croc there mate and also on the jewie, im yet to go on my chase for em, from your second pic i think i know where you guys were fishing so might have to head out there soon
  24. hmm yeh ive been a bit hesistant ever since they built the new "floating" type wharf before i could land 30-38cm bream which would be hiding under there now i have no idea what to do, or if they are still under there as its hard to get the bait down under, also yeh i know its meant to be for "boats" as many people keep telling me everytime i complain about it
  25. nice fish mate, bait or lure?
