  1. Just got back from the sussex myself and there wasn't much around. In the basin I know of a few fishos fishing the artifical reefs and not much to report there, plenty of tailor out there but were not biting. I fish around the mouth of the basin there is some nice spots around there. outgoing tide drift into the river and you might get a flatty (if it's a bit busy you can't really do that) I picked up a 50cm flatty in the river just outside the RSL club on the weekend and lost another bit smaller at the boat. I was using poddies but many have been getting flatties on SP. Oh and watch out for the rays there seems to be many around but never hooked one (lucky me) Aaron
  2. yep just checked float and your right if i get a coat hanger and hold float up the alarm stops but if i let go it starts i filled it back up with oil and alarm sounds straight away but if i put coat hanger back in and put a little pressure on float upwards it stops can i adjust it at all or is it replace whole oil tank
  3. Thank you very much DOGTOOTH I will have a good read on the site you provided. Just a quick question..... Would the alarm still sound when the key is turned to the ON position before I turn it to START position? The oil has never been low it was about 1/2 to 3/4 full at the time but I have since filled it all the way. When motoring to say a fishing spot and we pull up and put motor into neutural the motor will rev high and slowly come down to the normal idle speed. It seems that the FAST IDLE is stuck on. ANY IDEAS??? It might be an idea to mention I ran the motor all morning and forgot to undo the breather valve on the fuel tank and created a vacume and sucked the fuel tank in. any imput would be great as I am at a loss to what is going on.
  4. oil injected 2 STROKE Out in Botany today trowling and the motor warning buzzer started to sound......... Thinking maybe a thermostat problem it sat for about an hour to let it cool and started again same thing. Had to be towed back to the ramp just to be safe. Back home Checked thermostat and opens OK. The alarm sounds even when you turn the key before you try to start it. ANY IDEAS ?????????????? DOES ANYONE HAVE A WORKSHOP MANUAL. I HAVE LOOKED IN THE STANDARD MANUAL AND DOESN'T EVEN MENTION THE ALARM SYSTEM....
  5. I haven't been down that way for years. I used to have a van at the Caravan Park there and before we got a boat we used to struggle to catch anything off the beach or rocks. When we did get a boat the options were endless ..... As I recall the places you have marked have some whopping cliffs and have no idea how you would get down there. Another option is jump in the car and go to LONG BEACH SOUTH in jervis bay (you need to go through security at beecroft) you wont catch any kings here but will atleast catch something..... the area bit smelly and shallow so be prepare to get your legs wet but good for whiting, flatties and if you walk along the stones you might get a squid or two. This place is great when the North Easter is blowing as it seems to all the time when your down the south coast another place is Honeymoon bay on the rocks I haven't had much luck there but friends of mine have and if you don't catch anything it is a beautiful place to swim.... It's gunna be hot hot hot. cheers AZZ00
