searabbit Posted March 5, 2006 Share Posted March 5, 2006 g,day raiders while jewie fishing my mate Barney caught this ripper bream in the upper hawkesbury on a whole squid, 8/0 hook right in the gob. the fish went 1.51kg and is the 3rd bream over 1kg we have caught while jew fishin this year. big baits catch big fish. Surprize catches when going for another species of that quality always puts a smile on my dial! Got a 4kg chucky size eel this week as my surprize... creepy looking bugger, took me over 2 hours to clean my landing net, no thanks to it's icky slim coat, it was almost impossible to get it off the net. jewnut Posted March 5, 2006 Share Posted March 5, 2006 thats a top bream mate i can only seem to get good bycath when i jewie fish (the big blokes always elude me), i even got a ripper whiting at Juno once on whole squid and 6/0's. have you had any luck on the jewies?
