post-1664-1141797224_thumb.jpgHi raiders

Hit the bay again today for a quick fish with my mate George,

tried Molineaux Pt 1st up,only caught rubbish fish.We spotted

birds dive bombing in Yarra bay so we pulled up anchor and

went in their direction post haste.Only managed a few quick

casts with metal lures before the school went down deep,or

got out of there, managed to pull 2 Taylors to 44cm into the

boat.

We went to the good old 3rd runway after that,in the hope of

a King or two.We dropped anchor and started a burley trail,

we sent down two peeled prawns in the trail then retrieved

them once they got to around fifty mtrs behind the boat, once

back in we would send them back out again. After about 30min

of this and only 3 Trevors to show for our efforts zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

my reel starts to scream,George calls out,'' why you and not me.''

At that point zzzzzzzzzzzzz his rod goes off aswell,I laugh at him.

We proceed to fight our fish on light gear, and then our fish cross,

and despite our best efforts, were tangled and the rods are then

useless,so we use our hands to get our fish in.Mine a Kingy is

baught to the boat 1st and I net him with my free hand.At that

point George gets a Kingy bigger than mine to the side of the Quiny,

and I attempt to net him, with one massive kick of his tail he dives,

and leaves George holding his now slack line,"why me and not you,''

he yells in frustration.I cant help but to laugh histericaly. My Kingy

measured 63cm,and after catchin a couple more Trevs we hit the

road for home.

 cheers

Now thats the sort of report I want to hear good to see theres a legal king in the bay mate. I love casting metals at feeding schools it really gets the blood going.

Thats one of my favorite methods of fishing, but havent had that

much success with it this year,on two seperate occasions last

year 2 of us bagged out on Taylor, 48-53cm.Thats fishin I supose,

Cheers :1fishing1: Penguin.

 Bravo megale on a great midweek effort Pengiun

Mate well done on your consistent hook-ups of kings, your setting the bar high but hopefully myself and Kypreos can give it a shot and get onto some Kingies. I love the old school greek school of fishing - who needs top notch rods when you can get stuck in their with your hands! :1prop:

Good effort on the metal spinners, they are very fussy sometimes, you have to have the size of the baitfish they are chasing matching your metall spinner spot on otherwise they are not interested! :mad3:

All in all another good day on the Bay

Yiasou Greeko,

My dad still believes in the greek school of fishing mate,he goes off when eva I

tell him how much I've spent on a rod.He says dont waste your money just use

a handline,thats all you need,thats all I had back stin Ellatha(in Greece).

Crystalizer you red it correct, peeled prawns.

Cheers guys
