mrmoshe
Hi all i was just wondering is the portjackson shark still protected or not? and are they any good eating and any special way on cooking them? Cheers Joe I believe only the Grey Nurse shark is protected, correct me if I'm wrong guys. As for eating...hmmm.... To cook one, place shark in a large boiler with some herbs and garlic and add a house brick..boil for 3 days...throw away shark and eat the brick! I've never heard of anyone eating one yet..the shark I mean. Pete. Edited March 23, 2006 by MallacootaPete
mottyman
Hi Joe, Here's the link to the Fisheries list of protected species. The Port Jackson isn't on it. NSW protected species Nurse, great white and sawfish are. Cheers David.
Guest Big-Banana
Apparently they arent. But a fisheries officer I was chatting to was saying something along the lines that they are a living fossil and very important to the environment. Wouldnt recommend eating them, they would be tough as sh*t!
