Second Rod To Fit A Calcutta 200

I've been using the calcutta on a 5'8" 3-6kg shimano rod by the same name and spooled with 250m of 3kg tortue (mostly for flicking 14-25g plugs at surface action).

I was hoping that I could use the same reel and line for light beach fishing and casting lures a bit further than the 5'8" allows (so I can use it off the beach and rocks).

Would the calcutta 200 cope with a 9' rod?

If so, what rod(s) would you recommend?

I have used 250 off a custom made 10ft spin rod for tossing pilchards around the washes and it works damn well. The only concern you have is line capacity, but that is going to depend on what you are fishing for, unless you point it at larger jews or similar running critters you should have no problem.
