Ill be buying a reel tomorrow for a new 15kg rod and Iam wondering what you fellas recommend to load it up with. Iam thinking torture but is there anything better? Iam looking at buying a TLD 25 for trolling and fishing live baits over the reef.

If your are only considering mono then checkout berkley ironsilk. Great line

I've loaded both my 15 and 24 gear with Dacron and topshotted with 50 to 75 metres of mono to provide that stretch factor - no problems with trolling so far and have accounted for good size dollies and cobes, sailfish and small blacks. The big bonus comes when fishing deep reefs as you have more feel and less stretch to contend with.

I havent had any problems trolling with braid. Infact I have 50lb Fins on my TLD 2pd 20. Use knotted dog leaders to get some stretch back into the rig.
